Everybody look left! Everybody look right! Everybody, look, we have new treats at Animal Kingdom you’re going to want immediately. Okay, even if that’s not the song, we were singing around the kingdom after trying this new treat.
We headed to Creature Comforts in Discovery Island to try a new Halloween treat. We don’t care that it’s almost the end of October — we deserve to be able to celebrate our ghoulish friends all season long.
Creature Comforts is the Starbucks location in Animal Kingdom, but it doesn’t just sell Starbucks coffee and pastries. One of the seasonal snacks you can find here right now is the Boo Log for $5.79. This is Caramel Mousse, Chocolate Nougat, Caramel-Chocolate Feuilletine, and Chocolate Ganache with Halloween Bark.
Just look how cute it is! We love the little ghost, the bat, and the sparkly pieces of Halloween bark — it really reminds us about Halloween right around the corner. Now, we did make a big mistake with this treat, though, that we’re BEGGING you not to make as well — this treat is basically all mousse, meaning that if you don’t eat it basically right away, it melts REAL fast.
That also means you’ll really need to love mousse to enjoy this treat, so heads up on that. It’s coated in a chocolate ganache and has a small amount of filling inside. The mousse is fluffy and light, and it has a great salted caramel flavor that also has a hint of coffee-like flavor to it.
This isn’t a crazy rich chocolate dessert, thanks to the lightness of the mousse, but chocolate is definitely the main flavor. The chocolate filling had a bit of a crisp to it, which gave us a different texture we enjoyed, and the cream in the middle was also delicious. Overall, if you’re a fan of chocolate and mousse, you’ll love this one, so we suggest grabbing it before the season is over!
