There's a MAJOR Magic Kingdom Souvenir Discount Hiding in Tomorrowland

Believe it or not, there ARE some occasions when Disney lowers prices, instead of increasing them! It’s a rare instance, yes, but when it happens…we MUST tell you how to score a deal. It’s our duty!

After all the recent price increase announcements we spotted across Disney property, we could really use some good news. Luckily, we have some! If you’re a big fan of TRON, or become one after seeing TRON: Ares in theaters, there’s a huge discount you can’t miss out on.

Starting back on June 3rd, Disney announced that there would be a discount on the TRON Identity Program in the Tomorrowland Launch Depot in Magic Kingdom. Originally, this souvenir cost you $89.99, but since the summer, it has only cost $50 — that’s a savings of $40!

But wait a minute — what exactly IS the TRON Identity Program? I don’t know about you guys, but I never hear ANYONE talking about this, so if I didn’t write about Disney practically all day every day, I’d have no clue what someone was talking about. Well, inside this merchandise location, you’ll step into one of the Grid Digitization Portals to create an action figure or “Program” that looks and sounds just like you.

Inside, you’ll go through a customization process that includes an Image Capture to scan your facial features. Then, you’ll select your helmet and body configuration, and choose if your Program will be an Enforcer, Combatant, Scout, or Heavy Sentry. You’ll also select a team color, and finally visit Command Input, where you will record 6 lines of dialogue in your own voice.

Allow about 20 minutes to make your customization selections and record your lines, and then your action figure will take about 60 minutes to complete. You can also purchase additional customizable items at Tomorrowland Launch Depot, and the best part? This doesn’t require any reservations! The recommended age for this experience is five and up, but anyone under the age of 14 must have someone 14+ with them.

We’re curious to see how long this discount will last, because with the release of TRON: Ares, it’s possible that this experience will become more popular and go back up to its regular price. It’s ALSO possible that this experience hasn’t been popular enough at all, and Disney could close the experience if it still doesn’t get a decent amount of traction with this discount.
