Disney announced that D23 members are invited to a special taping of The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration, held at the Disneyland Resort! If you’re unfamiliar with this annual event, let’s just say it’s a star-studded spectacular with a LOT of holiday cheer. 

Every year, Disney premieres a holiday spectacular that fans can watch from the comfort of their own home called The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration. Of course, if you’re watching something on TV, that means it was filmed in advance, which means Disney must start the recording process VERY soon to be ready for Christmas Day.

D23 Members had the chance to claim a spot in the audience for the taping of The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration, which will take place overnight at the Disneyland Resort from October 24th to 25th. Unfortunately, tickets for the event sold out very fast!

Those who were lucky enough to get a ticket to the event will be arriving at 11 PM on October 24th and will be there until the next morning, around 6:30 AM. Now that’s a loooong recording session! The sell-out for the event is final, so there will be no more tickets available for D23 members. Luckily, you can see the final product on TV (without having to stand on your feet for HOURS all night!).

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

For those lucky enough to score tickets, this will be a SWEET opportunity to watch the performances in person and live. You know what else that means? You could see some of your favorite celebrities! Last year’s taping included performances by Pentatonix, Elton John, John Legend, Leslie Odom, Jr., Seth MacFarlane, Liz Gillies, Anika Noni Rose, Ava Max, Carly Pearce, Auliʻi Cravalho, and SEVENTEEN. For this year…well, we don’t know. Disney hasn’t announced who will be performing this year. That’s top-secret information!

For those attending, it’s important to be aware that you will be required to stand, wait, and move for long periods of time during the early hours of the morning. Also, the weather can be colder at night during the taping, so you’ll want to dress accordingly. No costumes can be worn during the taping, but you are encouraged to wear your best and favorite Disney holiday attire! We’re expecting LOTS of red and green clothing in the audience.

You will be on camera during the taping, but it’s not guaranteed that you will be seen in the final cut. You won’t be allowed to take photos, audio, or video recordings. All in all, it’s all worth it to possibly be seen on TV, though!
