NEWS: Price Increases Hit Lightsaber and Droid Building Experiences in Hollywood Studios

*sigh* We have more price increase news in Disney World, we’re sorry to say.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Park tickets, annual passes, and thousands of food items across the resort have received price increases. Unfortunately, more price increases have landed in the resort, this time specifically in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. If you were planning on building a Lightsaber or a droid soon and you haven’t already booked your reservation, you’ll now be paying a little bit more.

Building a droid or a lightsaber in Galaxy’s Edge can be expensive experiences that are incredibly exciting for Star Wars fans. Who doesn’t want to build their own lightsaber?! Well, now, building lightsabers and droids is going to cost you more at Hollywood Studios.

Parts and Builders

Previously, building a droid started at $119.99 per person plus tax, and building a lightsaber was $249.99 per person plus tax, but now price increases have hit BOTH of these experiences.

Droid Depot

Now, the droid-building experience at Droid Depot will cost $129, and the lightsaber-building experience will cost $274.99.

These certainly aren’t the only price increases we’ve seen take place recently. We’ve also seen price increases hit Disney World hotels, tickets, special tours that can be added on to your trip, and much more. October is typically the time we see a lot of these price increases take place, so if you’re planning a trip in 2026 and beyond, we recommend booking before October to hopefully avoid potential price increases.
