We’ve got a warning if you’re trying to make Advance Dining Reservations for Disney World right now!
Heads up if you’re making dining reservations!
The Disney World Advance Dining Reservation system is how table service reservations are made ahead of your trip — and this morning, the system went down. Here’s what you need to know.
Heads up if you were trying to make Advance Dining Reservations on the Disney World website, on the phone, or on the My Disney Experience app on the morning of October 1st — the system was experiencing an outage, and reservations were not able to be made.

We first spotted a pop-up message on the My Disney Experience app that said, “Pardon the Inconvenience: At this time, we are unable to make or modify dining reservations online or over the phone. We apologize for any inconvenience.”

The Disney World website also had a warning, advising of the system issues. It read, “Some of our digital experiences are undergoing maintenance and may currently be unavailable. Dine Reservations, Resort bookings and Enchanting Extra Collection bookings may be affected. We apologize for any inconvenience.”

So, it sounds like it wasn’t just a dining reservation outage, but one that potentially impacted hotel reservations as well. While the system appears to be working again — we successfully made a dining reservation via the website this morning — this serves as an important reminder that things might not go as smoothly as you had hoped when making your dining or hotel reservations.

Typically, we don’t see the hotel reservation system go down often, but this certainly isn’t the first time the dining reservation system has given people headaches when trying to book table service restaurants for their trips. Just remember to be patient and that things will likely be resolved soon — Disney wants you to make those reservations because it means more money for them, so it’s in their best interest to fix the problem quickly!
