92% of Gen Z Would Go To A Restaurant Just For Sauces. Chipotle Said, “Hold Our Burrito.”

Believe it or not, it IS possible to get tired of Disney World food when you’re on your vacation. We know, it doesn’t seem possible, but we’ve BEEN there, and when it happens, it’s usually pretty intense.

That’s when we look to restaurants outside the Disney bubble to expand our horizons a bit, which is made easier if you have your own car on vacation, or are willing to use a service like Uber Eats or DoorDash. If you’re a big Chipotle fan, like we are, and also enjoy trying new menu offerings, there’s a new sauce available for a short time that you won’t want to miss!

Chipotle’s new Red Chimichurri sauce just debuted today, September 30th, in the United States and Canadian markets. This is a tangy, delicious sauce curated to pair with Chipotle’s Carne Asada, but it can be used with any Chipotle menu item. You get it on the side of your meal and can add as much, or as little, as you’d like to your burrito, quesadilla, bowl, etc.

The best part is that for today only, Chipotle Rewards members can try this new sauce for FREE! What was the idea behind creating this interesting sauce, you ask? Well, apparently 92% of Gen Z consumers say they would visit a restaurant just for a sauce, and after the success of Adobo Ranch years ago, Chipotle decided it was time to develop and release a new sauce — their first one in five years!

Red Chimichurri is made with roasted garlic, fresh cilantro, chili peppers, and citrus juice and features no artificial preservatives, colors, or flavors. While it’s a great addition to try with any entree, the top recommendations by Nevielle Panthaky, Vice President of Culinary, are the Carne Asada Burrito, Chicken Bowl, and Sofritas Bowl. There’s no official date right now as to when this new sauce will no longer be available, but if you’re interested in trying it, we recommend heading over there sooner rather than later so you don’t miss your chance.
