EPCOT’s World Showcase is famous for whisking you around the globe without ever leaving Orlando. You’ll never know what you’ll find here!

World Showcase at EPCOT
One minute you’re sipping sake in Japan, the next you’re munching pretzels in Germany. But beyond the food and architecture, the real hidden gems are tucked inside the shops. From quirky snacks to over-the-top collectibles, you never know what you’ll stumble across. Some souvenirs are practical, some are ridiculous, and some make you wonder if you should have left extra space in your suitcase. Let’s take a look at the most absurd items currently waiting for you in World Showcase.
If EPCOT has taught us anything, it’s that souvenirs aren’t always keychains and magnets. Case in point: Mexico is serving up a whole lineup of pepper sauces in a $36.99 gift set. It’s the perfect purchase if you’ve ever thought, “I’d like my suitcase to smell like regret.” Don’t get us wrong — spice lovers will probably brag about this to their friends, but just remember, Disney doesn’t cover “accidental hot sauce explosions in checked luggage.” This would make a great gift for your friend who has a whole shelf dedicated to hot sauce.

We’re all for treating our pets like royalty, but Norway might be taking it to the next level with this $50 luxury dog shampoo and conditioner duo. Yes, it even comes in a gift bag, because don’t our dogs deserve boutique spa packaging too? On the bright side, you do save $5 if you buy them together. Your pup may not thank you in words, but you can be sure they’ll look fabulous chasing squirrels.

Gier Ness Voff Set
Oreos are everywhere, but China’s version at EPCOT is next-level adventurous. This multi-flavored Oreo gift box is basically a mystery game for your taste buds! One minute you’re biting into something familiar, the next eating a blueberry/raspberry Oreo. For $12.95, we love the idea of gifting this to your favorite foodie or even grabbing one to share just for the plot.

Remember when candy used to be fun and slightly terrifying? Enter Volcano popping candy. It’s like fireworks in your mouth but with flavors you probably didn’t see coming. At $4.95, it’s cheap entertainment. It might be a chaotic surprise for adults who forgot what Pop Rocks do when mixed with soda.

Germany’s gift shops are filled with steins and cuckoo clocks… but then there’s the Seven Dwarfs lamp bag. For $59.99, you can carry your important essentials and look like you just ransacked Snow White’s cottage. It’s part bag and part “conversation starter you didn’t ask for.” We can’t decide if it’s genius or just plain confusing, but either way, you won’t blend into the crowd with this one.

Japan sells… actual swords. Yes, you read that right. Forget plush toys or t-shirts, you can walk out of EPCOT with a blade ranging from $120 to $390. Of course, Disney isn’t letting you strut around World Showcase swinging it like you’re in Pirates of the Caribbean, but still, the fact that you can buy one is wild to us.

Samurai Swords
For those who want to bring home a souvenir with an air of sophistication, Japan is ready to hook you up with a $92.95 calligraphy set. Yes, it’s pricey, but this isn’t your average office supply. It’s a serious kit for people who think “thank you notes” should be elevated to an art form. It includes pens, a carrying case, and all you need to set up your own calligraphy shop. Plus, it’s a great excuse to tell everyone at home that you’re basically a samurai of stationery.

The Geir Ness Voff Voff Voff is for ME, not my dogs! They don’t care how they smell but I do!
Full disclosure, we didnt buy it. I don’t know when we first noticed the emerald shrine toward the back of House of Good Fortune in the China Pavilion. Im guessing it was 15 years ago. Every trip my kids rush to the exact spot to see if its still there. I even looked forward to finding it on our first adults only trip in September. With a price tag of $25,000 im not surprised its still there year after year.
Believe it or not but I’ll bet that is not the original one you found on your first trip. Or it is the show piece and they sell ones that are special boxes. Have fun guessing.
