We’ve visited some of the best Disney World hotel lounges, but there’s a hidden gem tucked away in one of the furthest corners you won’t see coming. While it’s true there are phenomenal lounges to explore around Disney World’s hotels closer to most of the parks, this is one we promise will be worth your while to go out of your way for!
We recently stopped by Victoria Falls Lounge at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort Jambo House to see what was cookin’, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth? Find out here!
Atmosphere
Victoria Falls is a fairly open space where its patrons can sample suds from South Africa before or after dinner inside this intimate bar overlooking Boma Restaurant just below it. It’s also known to serve a host of South African wines here, all of which can be enjoyed in the flickering ambience of the fire pit outside.

Victoria Falls Lounge
While it’s small, there is a decent-sized bar with chairs stationed around it, as well as some plush lounge seating where you can opt to dine and relax for a while.

Lounge space
But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?!
Menu
The online menu will be very limited and only list the drinks available for pickup here. It’s made up of specialty cocktails, mocktails, a selection of beers, and a variety of wine options, including sparkling, rosé, red, and white wines, as well as wine flights.

Drinks menu
Lounge fare is served from 5 to 10 PM, and the menu can be reviewed upon your arrival at the lounge.

And now, onto the main event — the food!
Eats
First up, we grabbed the Spiced Goat Cheese Dip for $10, which is served with Assorted Bread.
Right from the start, we noticed how big the serving size was for $10! There were plenty of pieces of bread, and lots of cheese to go around. It came with two types of bread, including one that reminded us of a puffy, Brazilian cheese bread, but in a different shape. One of our reporters thought it reminded them of pizza crust with the cheese on top! The other cracker was thin and snapped easily, providing a great crunch. This dish, overall, was hearty, and there was so much to share, which really put us in the mood to start our meal. It also had bacon crumbles and honey, which pair perfectly with goat cheese.
We also grabbed the Cape Town Slap Chips for $13. This comes with Fried Potatoes, Arugula, Apricots, Sherry Vinaigrette, and Blue Cheese Crumbles.
Who doesn’t love a bowl of crispy potatoes? These chips had a perfect crispy outside and a creamy inside and were fried to perfection. The blue cheese comes in tiny crumbles, so it’s not overwhelming, and the arugula provides a peppery taste. We had to search for the dried, chopped apricots, but once we found them, they added a fun pop of sweetness. We were originally expecting something similar to loaded fries with melted cheese, but this was more chips with a crumble of topping, which was a fun take on the dish.
We also couldn’t pass up the chance to try the Braai Burger and Seasoned Chips for $22. This is made with Chaka Jam, Green Tomato Pickle, and Peri Peri Aioli.
We’ve tried many burgers at Disney World, and this is a fun and unique version of the traditional burger. The patty was thick and very tender, packed with flavor due to its high-fat content. It came on a brioche bun with two layers of Munster cheese, which we don’t often see. Instead of a pickle, there was a pickled green tomato, and the aioli and jam gave it sweetness.
If you prefer a classic mustard and ketchup hamburger, this might be a little too far out there, but if you want an upscale version of your favorites, this can be a way to go. The burger reminded us of the ones at Steakhouse 71 and Tiffins, two places we enjoy very much. This was the most exotic version of the three, which we like to see at Animal Kingdom Lodge!
Drinks
To drink, we picked up the Spiced Chai Colada for $16.50. This is made with SelvaRey Coconut Rum, Sōmrus Chai Cream Liqueur, DOLE Pineapple Juice.
If you enjoy White Russians, Piña Coladas, and chai, this drink is a combination of all three. The most prominent flavor is coconut, followed by chai, with pineapple adding a subtle sweetness in the background. This is a rich drink that pairs perfectly with dessert. We found it to be both interesting and complex, and chai lovers are sure to be obsessed with this. We also appreciated the taste of warm spices, which remind us of the holidays, but in a cold, refreshing drink, perfect for Florida.
We also had the Baobab 75 for $17.50 made with Bayab African Rose Gin, Graham Beck Brut Rosé, Lemon Juice, and Pure Cane Syrup.
This is the lounge’s take on a French 75. It’s very floral, and we loved the bubbles, which gave it a great “crisp” feeling. When you take your sip, the rose from the gin will be the first flavor, followed by the acidity from the lemon juice, with the floral notes in the background, which taste like lavender. The syrup in it added a hint of sweetness, but it wasn’t overpowering. If you love a floral drink, this is a great option, and we loved the pretty, pink color.

Overall
What a hit! We really enjoyed our visit to the Victoria Falls Lounge and thought it was a nice escape from the chaos of the theme parks. While Animal Kingdom Lodge can be a little difficult to reach if you aren’t staying there, if you’re already there, this can be a great place to add to your itinerary. We loved how affordable and shareable the appetizers were, and we thought the cocktails were interesting and complex. If you’re looking for a lounge that exudes a relaxing atmosphere with excellent dining options, Victoria Falls Lounge is an excellent choice.
