There are SO many options when it comes to dining at Disney World. There is something for just about everyone, and it can feel a bit overwhelming trying to decide where to eat. We are here to help! We have eaten everywhere in Disney World (more times than we can count), and we are always bringing you the latest reviews of Disney dining.
We recently stopped by La Crêperie de Paris in EPCOT to see what was cookin’, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth? Find out here!
Atmosphere
La Crêperie de Paris is nestled in the France Pavilion in EPCOT. You won’t see it on first glance of the pavilion, as it is a bit hidden back by Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. Believe it or not, there are actually two dining options back by Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. They are both serving up crepes, but one is serving them up in a table-service atmosphere, while the other is serving up crepes via a quick-service window. La Crêperie de Paris is the table-service option, while Crêpes À Emporter by La Crêperie de Paris is the window option.
Today, we are headed to La Crêperie de Paris for the full dining experience, but if you are ever craving a crepe without having to have a full sit-down meal, Crêpes À Emporter by La Crêperie de Paris is also a great option. Inside La Crêperie de Paris, you will find fairly simple decor along with lots of brown, gray, and cream colors. There are also lots of wood and stone accents throughout.
You will also find paintings throughout the restaurant depicting scenes from Paris. We love the pop of color these paintings add to the restaurant, as well as the glimpses into the streets of Paris. The restaurant is on the smaller side, so we do recommend reservations. However, we have also found that this restaurant often has walk-up availability, so don’t let the lack of a reservation deter you from eating here.
But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?!
Menu
You can choose from the Soupe du Jour or a Salade Maison as an appetizer. You can also choose to select the Prix Fixe Menu, which is a popular option at this restaurant. With the Prix Fixe Menu, you get either the soup of the day or the Salade Maison, a choice of a Galette, a choice of a Dessert Crepe, as well as a choice between hard cider, soda, or juice.
You can also get the Prix Fixe Menu for kids, which includes a choice of a Galette (brie cheese, ratatouille, or ham and cheese) and one Dessert Crepe (sugar, red berries, or hazelnut chocolate spread).
The restaurant offers a variety of galettes (or buckwheat crepes).
As well as Dessert Crepes like Sucre, Banane, and Poire.
Finally, you can also choose from a variety of beverages like French Hard Ciders and French Wine.
As well as other drinks like beer, Champagne, or a French Martini. Plus, you can also choose from Imported Soft Drinks.
And now, onto the main event — the food!
Eats
We decided to go with the Prix Fixe Menu for $39.95. The Prix Fixe Menu comes with the choice of Soup of the Day or Salade Maison; choice of one Galette with a Glass of Hard Cider, Soda, or Juice; and Choice of one Dessert Crêpe.
We started off with the Salade Maison for our appetizer, which was way bigger than we thought it would be! It’s loaded with lettuce and has a light vinaigrette on top, which we feel they went light on, but you can ask for more dressing if you would like to.
You’ll also find some sliced red onions, cherry tomatoes, and croutons on top, and everything was fresh and a great mix of textures. We were off to a great start, but we had a feeling it would be a FILLING meal if everything was as big as this!
For our Galette, we chose the Chèvre, which features goat cheese, spinach, walnuts, and honey. While this is made of fairly simple ingredients, they work so well together. Most of the ingredients are in the center of the crepe, so we recommend kind of spreading it around so you get a bit of filling with each bite.
The crepe itself has a slight crisp to it while still being light and fluffy. Inside, the goat cheese is really creamy and has some herbs mixed in, which we loved, but there is a LOT of goat cheese here, so you’ll need to make sure that’s a flavor you really like before getting it. The spinach is tossed in a light vinaigrette, and we loved how fresh and crunchy it was. The walnuts and honey really helped bring everything together, and we’d absolutely get this again — especially for a lighter meal that won’t weigh you down, but is still filling.
For the Dessert Crepe, we decided on the Melba, which has peach, red berry sauce, and almonds on it. This one was a bit thinner and wasn’t overly sweet, and was loaded down with berries and peaches that were both in syrup, which made them pretty sweet but also wet, which made the crepe a little soggy. The red berries were like a mixture of blueberries and black raspberries from what we could see, and the peaches tasted like canned peaches or the ones you get in the syrup snack packs.
This crepe is also dusted with some powdered sugar and served with a sweet strawberry sauce. While we did appreciate the fruit here, we wish it had been fresh rather than more syrup-y and artificial, as we feel that also would have made the crepe less soggy.
Drinks
The Prix Fixe Menu also includes a drink, and we opted to grab a Hard Cider. You can choose from three options: brut, sweet, or in between. We opted for the sweet option (doux on the menu), and it is definitely very sweet and tastes like sparkling apple juice. We didn’t taste much of the alcohol, which can be a good thing, or a bad thing, depending on how you prefer your drinks to taste.
Nosh or Not
This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if…
- You’re a big fan of crepes, BUT don’t expect them to be the best of the best
- You’re looking for a nice, air-conditioned, sit-down table service meal and might not have a reservation
- You’ll be spending a lot of time in the France Pavilion
- You’re looking for something different and don’t want to spend a ton
You should skip this Disney World spot if…
- You want a meal with big and surprising options on the menu
- You’re not a fan of prix-fixe menus
- Crepes aren’t your thing (you’ll be out of luck if that’s the case)
Overall
Overall, we enjoyed our meal here, especially because it wasn’t very crowded when we arrived, and we were able to be seated right away. And as there are only about 30 tables, the restaurant is on the smaller side. The air conditioning is lovely inside, although the decor is definitely a bit more on the plain side, and it’s fairly echoey, so even though it wasn’t very crowded, it seemed fairly loud because all the voices echoed a lot.
For basically four courses for $40, this is a pretty great deal, but it’s a LOT of food, so be prepared to be pretty stuffed when you walk out. In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. Make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more!
