We go to Universal Orlando for the food. There. We said it. We go EVERYWHERE for the food, and we’re happy to admit that.
Sure, Epic Universe is a lot of fun with its rides and entertainment, and we had a blast at Halloween Horror Nights, but mostly, we’re here for the food. Well, I guess we need to make a beeline over to Universal Orlando ASAP because the resort just announced a TON of new food and drinks for Universal Studios, Universal Islands of Adventure, and Universal CityWalk — and it all sounds INCREDIBLE.
Okay, so this is a LONG list of new food and drinks at Universal Orlando, so let’s just jump right on in (and yes, we’re already making our food list for our next visit):
Universal Studios Florida
Finnegan’s Bar & Grill
- Beer Battered Onion Rings — thick, hand-cut onions are dipped in house-made beer batter and fried to a crisp with an Irish stout aioli
- Reilly’s Chicken Wings — wings coated in a smooth, sweet and savory whiskey glaze served with a side of celery sticks and ranch
- Red Dragon Bacon Cheeseburger — a half-pound all-beef burger, red dragon cheddar cheese, bacon, red onions, and roasted garlic aioli between a four-leaf-clover-branded bun and topped off with a fried pickle, served with lettuce, tomato, and classic pub chips
Lombard’s Seafood Grille
- Tuna Crudo — ceviche-style leche de tigre ( a spicy citrus-based emulsion) as well as cured tuna, avocado, onion, giant corn, cilantro, nori, and rice paper
- Miso Glazed Sea Bass — with a mix of sesame, baby bok choy, shiitake mushrooms, scallions, and snow peas in a hearty miso glaze
- Salmon Beurre Blanc — fresh salmon, arugula, parsnips, bacon, and piquillo peppers cooked in citrus beurre blanc and parsley oil
LISTEN CAREFULLY, PEOPLE! We have a Cap’n Crunch Shake on the menu. Why are we so excited about this? Prepare for a deep cut. There’s a Cold Brew Black Caf drink in Disneyland that comes with Cocoa Puffs, and it’s one of the BEST drinks in Disneyland. Seriously. Cereal + drink = YUM, so we have high hopes for the new shake at Universal.
Richter’s Burger Co.
- Aftershock Burger — fresh angus beef patty smothered in jalapeño bacon jam and topped with fried onion straws, pepperjack and American cheeses, lettuce, and barbecue sauce
- Tremor Crispy Chicken Sandwich — fried chicken breast dusted in Flamin’ Hot® Cheetos® breading and topped with pepperjack cheese, ranch, lettuce, and pickles
- Cap’n Crunch Shake — a blend of Cap’n Crunch with Crunch Berries milk and topped with even more cereal
Universal Islands of Adventure
Confisco Grille
- Grilled Angus Beef Churrasco Steak — charred skirt steak is dressed in jalapeño bacon and sweet corn relish, tomato, cilantro rice, and fresh chimichurri sauce
- Summer Avocado Hummus — topped with spiced Fresno chili sauce, crisp garbanzo, and crunchy pita chips with a sprinkle of everything seasoning on top
- Curry Dosa — coconut jalapeño ginger puree and tomato cilantro chutney with a potato and serrano chili pepper filling
- Herb Roasted Corvina Fillet — pan-roasted fillet with a chimichurri marinade and Parmesan served over spinach orzo salad, baby heirloom tomatoes, and a tangy butter lemon sauce
- Flan Brûlée — cream cheese flan, sugar brûlée, whipped topping, and warm cinnamon sugar churros
- Tres Leches Bread Pudding — tres leches bread pudding dressed in caramel sauce and topped with salted caramel ice cream and croissant crumble

- Watermelon Salad — a medley of arugula, spinach, watermelon, feta, tomatoes, tossed with pumpkin seeds, spiced garbanzo beans, and cucumbers, drizzled in a strawberry-lemon vinaigrette
- Spinach Garlic Ravioli — a fresh sauté of tomatoes, spinach, and piquillo peppers with an in-house pesto base made with lemon, olive oil, and a robust flavor of herbs, topped with a light burrata
- Catch of the Season — chef’s daily selection of fresh fish, roasted potatoes, sweet corn, baby spinach, charred tomato, and fennel cream with crispy fingerlings chips and lemon oil garnish
- Sea Scallop & Sweet Corn Risotto — sweet corn purée, jalapeño bacon crumb spicy ajvar (Serbian red pepper relish), fresh corn, and grana padano cheese
Universal CityWalk
The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen
- Provence Totchos — crispy tater tots topped with truffled Brie fondue, Calabrian chili honey, fresh crumbled bacon, green onions, and a rim of roasted garlic aioli
- Burger Au Poivre — a peppercorn-spiced burger patty, gruyère cheese, caramelized onions, arugula, chocolate brandy peppercorn sauce, and roasted garlic aioli, topped with potato sticks and served on a pretzel bun
- Cocoa Coq Au Vin — airline chicken breast in a red wine chocolate demi and served with gruyère mashed potatoes, baby carrots, and grilled cipollini onions
Antojitos Authentic Mexican Food
- Aguachile Verde — chilled shrimp flavors poached in a simmering sauce made with fresh lime juice, chiles, cilantro, cucumbers, red onions, red radishes, and avocado, served with a side of crispy blue corn tostadas
- Camarones a la Diabla — grilled shrimp dressed up in a chipotle tomato sauce topped with roasted corn summer slaw, lime crema, sliced avocado, micro cilantro, and house rice
- Pollo a la Poblana — grilled airline chicken is cooked in a creamy poblano sauce and served with roasted fingerling potatoes, roasted vegetables, and flour tortillas
- Abuela’s Cheesecake — creamy cheesecake on a sweet mazapán (compacted peanut and powdered sugar Mexican candy) crumble, and is made with Mexican chocolate, goat milk cajeta, and fresh berries with a mint garnish
VIVO Italian Kitchen
- Halibut — fresh white fish is served over a roasted corn hash made with broccolini and red and yellow peppers, topped with roasted tomatoes on the vine with a Cape Verde sauce
- Pork Tenderloin — seared and sous vide tenderloin served on top of a corn risotto topped with a tarragon beurre blanc blended with a little romesco (spicy red pepper sauce), and served with a side of rainbow cauliflower roasted in an herb oil
- Semi Freddo — strawberry ice cream on a lady finger crust topped with a warm mixed berry compote made with fresh blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries, garnished with dried strawberries and pistachios
Bigfire
- Bone-In Short Rib — slathered in Carolina barbecue sauce, this tender dish comes with grilled corn on the cob, vine tomatoes, cooling onions, and warm spicy maple-glazed jalapeño cornbread
- Grilled Barbecue Pork Chop — a smoked honey carrot puree, green bean almondine, blistered vine tomatoes, caramelized onions, and a rich black cherry glaze

- Midnight Munchies — milkshake with a blend of vanilla ice cream, cocoa-hazelnut spread, chopped peanut-nougat-caramel milk chocolate bars and candy pieces, potato sticks, vanilla whipped cream, caramel topping, and chocolate popping candy
- Cheesecake Lumpia Rolls — crispy wontons stuffed with vanilla cheesecake filling and fortune cookie crumbs. Dip them in white chocolate ube sauce or strawberry sauce

- Bacon Jam-boree Burger — two caramelized patties topped with American cheese, house-made bacon jam, sliced jalapeños, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and lava lava sauce between two soft brioche buns
- Peel & Eat Shrimp — with a side of Key lime cocktail and lava lava sauces for dipping
NBC Sports Grill & Brew
- Touchdown Tuna Nachos — spicy textured wonton chips and sweet sushi-grade tuna with creamy sriracha aioli, balanced out with earthy notes of micro cilantro, sliced radish, and serrano, garnished with furikake and a squeeze of fresh lime
- Philly Cheese Steak Spring Rolls — shaved beef steak, flash-fried light spring roll skin, and cherry pepper aioli.
- “DA” B.L.T. — NBC’s signature house-smoked brisket, this sandwich is stacked with sweet and spicy billion-dollar bacon, cowboy candy spread, shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, and dressed in harissa barbecue sauce, all between two toasted pretzel buns
