There are a lot of Halloween events in Orlando, and it can be hard to decide which one is right for your family. We’re throwing another one into the mix that might have to be at the top of your list.
Brick-or-Treat has hit LEGOLAND Florida Resort, and we’re ready to fill up our candy bags, try special treats, and enjoy exclusive seasonal events. Ready to build?
The Basics
The Halloween party runs on select nights through the season, including:
- September 20th and 27th
- October 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th, 18th, 19th, 25th, and 26th
- November 1st and 2nd
For a one-day ticket, which includes admission to LEGOLAND and admission to the Brick-or-Treat event on the specific dates, costs between $54 and $89, depending on the date you choose, per person before taxes and fees.
Characters
There were a bunch of different characters to meet, and our favorite was LEGO Wolf Guy! Meeting life-sized LEGO characters always takes us back to our childhood. You can meet other characters like LEGO Square Food (their version of Big Foot), Monster Rocker, LEGO Scarecrow, and LEGO Spider Lady. There are also dance parties like the Zombie Cheer Crew and the V.I.M Dance Party with Lord Vamprye.
Rides
Some of the rides have Halloween overlays during the events, like the Monster Party Carousel. You can also ride all the other rides normally open at LEGOLAND while you’re there, too! We became obsessed with the Lost Kingdom Adventure, which is a point-and-shoot game.
Snacks
We had the Franken-Fries at Granny’s Apple Fries for $19.49. These had a chocolate shell topping that was fun to crack open, and the pistachio ice cream tasted homemade and delicious, as they promised. The combination of pistachio, chocolate, fried apple, and cinnamon might be a surprise to be all put together, but it gave a great amount of autumn vibes in the middle of a hot day in Florida. It also comes with a souvenir bowl that we thought was of really nice quality.
Then we tried the Candy Corn Cooler for $6.69 at Funnel Cake Factory. We loved the presentation as soon as we saw this! The ice cream came frozen solid, which we really appreciated, and we thought the vanilla was super creamy. It was followed by orange and lemon, which weren’t as good as the vanilla, but an overall enjoyable and unique treat to try.
Entertainment
The Monster Skytacular Drone Show was so much fun. There were fireworks and drones, and they were integrated together for a seamless show. There were different shapes like LEGO witches and ghosts.
Builds
During the event, there were also different LEGO structures, something LEGOLAND is known for, as well as different builds to take part in. One was a Pumpkin Build, where you can add your LEGO pumpkin to the giant pumpkin patch. There was even a Scarecrow Superbrick Build where everyone got to help build a giant LEGO scarecrow.
Overall
We thought the Brick-or-Treat event was so much fun and perfect for a family with young kids. LEGOLAND has always felt like a great place for the younger members of the family, where everything is their size, filled with plenty of entertainment without having to go on rides. Even if your kid just wants to build LEGO for the day, you can do that, too! We had fun with the different foods and characters, and the end of a drone show was a real treat. It’s an affordable event that is great for the whole family. We’ve gone to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Halloween Horror Nights, and even an all-year-long Halloween event in Las Vegas, but we definitely think this Brick-or-Treat is the most family-friendly.
