We’re big ice cream fans here at Disney Food Blog, and we’ve probably tried every flavor imaginable.

Salt & Straw at Disney Springs has tested us with insane flavors like Fried Chicken Ice Cream, Deviled Egg Ice Cream, Spinach Cake with Chocolate Tahini Fudge, and Charred Corn Curd, Cotija & Tajin. Yep, we thought we tried them all, but we just found a flavor we’re not sure we’re willing to try.
Sunscreen ice cream now exists. No, we’re not happy about it either.

Carnival Cruise Line and Van Leeuwan ice cream company have worked together to create sunscreen ice cream to combat the “End-of-Summer Scaries” or “the bittersweet feeling when the season of sunshine and carefree moments winds down.”

Currently, the ice cream isn’t available for purchase, but if enough people are interested in it, the flavor could be sold for a limited time. Some commenters on social media have said, “Not a want, but a need!” and “Amazing, give me 14 of them right now.”

We’re not sure we’re on the bandwagon for sunscreen ice cream and wouldn’t be too upset if it doesn’t get made. Actor Jonathan Bennet got to try the flavor, which he said tasted like coconut. He also said, “It does taste like sunscreen, but in a good way. It tastes like you’re eating vacation.”
