A MAJOR Ride Change Happens in EPCOT Next Week

There are good ride changes and some that leave us scratching our heads. Lucky for us, this EPCOT attraction is getting a temporary overlay that might just have you singing all day long.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

We’re massive Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind fans, and if you haven’t made your EPCOT park reservation, this is your sign! You should definitely plan a trip to the park if you’ve been missing one of the six songs to complete your list.

On the 21st night of September, Cosmic Rewind will play “September” by Earth, Wind, & Fire all day long (not just the night, but we wanted to get the song stuck in your head).

Cosmic Rewind

Traditionally, Cosmic Rewind has six different songs that play at random, including “September” along with:

“Disco Inferno” by The Trammps
“Conga” by Gloria Estefan
“Everybody Wants to Rule the World” by Tears for Fears
“I Ran” by A Flock of Seagulls
“One Way or Another” by Blondie

You might want to grab a Lightning Lane

For September 21st only, they’ll play “September” all day long to celebrate the song. We saw this temporary overlay happen in 2024, and during the holiday season in 2022, they played “Run, Run, Rocket,” based on “Run, Run, Rudolph,” for every ride.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

There’s another limited-time overlay coming to Disney World this month, too. TRON Lightcycle / Run at Magic Kingdom is changing to a Tron: Ares theme for the new movie. Starting September 15th, TRON will be red instead of blue.

There will also be music from the movie written by Nine Inch Nails. With different visuals and music, it might feel like a whole new ride! We’re not sure how long the overlay will be here, so if you know you need that updated ride photo, make sure you plan a trip soon.
