…you’re going to be faced with the tough choice of what to eat. So, that’s what we’re here to help you with — tell you what we ate, and if it’s worth it.

If you’ve been to the Grand Californian Hotel at the Disneyland Resort, you may have heard of the Craftsman Bar and Grill. We often find ourselves going there a lot for their hot dogs of the month, and now the new hot dog is out! Spoiler alert, it’s a cheesburger in hot dog form…a cheeseburger, and a hot dog?! What will science think of next?

Take a look at the hot dog of the month, the Cheeseburger Dog, for $17. It’s an all-beef hot dog, with angus beef, American cheese, shredded iceberg lettuce, tomato, caramelized onions, bread and butter pickles, 1000 island, on a ciabatta roll. It also comes with fries!

The hot dog tasted exactly like it said it would — a cheeseburger. It was literally a cheesburger but with a hot dog instead of a patty! We had no complaints about this meal other than that it was a little hard to eat while keeping everything in place. You pick it up and spend time worrying about it falling apart.

All of the flavors paired very well, which honestly makes sense since it’s built like a burger. There really wasn’t anything crazy or unique about this other than it being a hot dog.

The flavors mixed well together

All of the produce had fresh and vibrant flavors, while the ground beef had a peppery flavor. The caramelized onions brought a sweet and savory flavor that we noticed throughout. The fries were always warm, crispy, and salty, making them a favorite on property!

You should try this!
