Disney World Announces ANOTHER Ride Closure

Get ready to make a splash…or, not make a splash, over in Animal Kingdom.

Walls, walls, walls

We’ve seen far too many construction walls up in Animal Kingdom, but we might see more pop up in a few weeks. One attraction is undergoing refurbishment, but don’t worry, it’s set to be temporary; however, it can still throw a wrench into your plans.

Kali River Rapids in the Asia section of Animal Kingdom will be closing on October 6th and is expected to reopen in December.

This is a water ride where it’s not a matter of you may get wet — you will get wet! We recommend bringing an extra pair of clothes or shoes and being prepared to throw on your rain poncho if you’re planning on riding it before it goes under refurbishment.

Kali River Rapids

This month, we officially said goodbye to the Boneyard, the playground in DinoLand U.S.A., as it closed to make way for the Tropical Americas transformation, Puebla Esperanza. DinoLand is currently closing in phases, and we just learned that the final areas of the land will be closing on February 2nd, 2025. If you want to say goodbye to Dr. Seeker before he goes extinct, now’s your chance!

Pueblo Esperanza will welcome new characters like Family Madrigal from Encanto and Indiana Jones. For the first time, you’ll be able to enter the Casita and see these characters like never before.

DINOSAUR is transforming into the Indiana Jones ride, where there will be a new storyline from the Disneyland version. We’re excited to see how different it will be, and even though the attraction doesn’t close till February, we’re already missing trying to save that dino.
