Yes, we’re still trying to get through Halloween, but when it comes to planning for Disney World, if you’ve got a holiday trip coming up, you’re probably thinking a little further ahead than spooky season.
That’s especially true if you have plans to attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party (and, yes, tickets are ON SALE NOW). Well, if you’re looking to book the Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Dessert Party, we’ve got a big update: reservations open on September 3rd.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a separate ticketed event that happens on select nights in November and December in Magic Kingdom. The party includes a special exclusive fireworks show, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks. If you’d like to get a good view of the show, you can book a Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Dessert Party, which gets you a buffet of sweet treats and drinks, as well as reserved seating for the fireworks.
If you’re staying at a Disney World hotel, you’ll be able to make reservations for the dessert party on September 3rd. All other guests will be able to book a dessert party on September 8th. Two choices are usually available for reserved seating: Tomorrowland Terrace (where the party is held) and Plaza Garden Viewing, which is the garden in front of the castle. The Plaza Garden Viewing party is generally a little less expensive, and in my experience, it’s also the better location for fireworks viewing.

Disney has not yet revealed the pricing for this year’s dessert parties, but we’ll be keeping an eye out for that information once it’s available. The price varies by date, and last year, tickets started at $111.73 for adults and $70.42 for children (ages 3 to 9) for Tomorrowland Terrace viewing and $92.95 for adults and $55.39 for children (ages 3 to 9) for Plaza Garden Viewing.
