We think shelling out some extra cash for Lightning Lanes is worth it, but it’s soooo much sweeter when you get to save a few extra bucks!
Lightning Lanes allow Disney World guests to skip the long standby lines, but, in most cases, you’ll only be able to access them via a paid ticket add-on. Right now, Disney World offers Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Lightning Lane Single Pass, and Lightning Lane Premier Pass for guests, and it looks like prices will be dropping for all three in September!
Lightning Lane prices can get pretty bad over the summer, but with kids back in school, we’re starting to see them come back down to Earth, even if it’s just by a few bucks. Lightning Lanes prices and availability are date-based and fluctuate based on demand and crowd sizes. As such, while we’ve been able to evaluate prices a little past the halfway point of September, keep in mind that you won’t be paying a flat rate throughout the month, and it’s possible the days you visit could be more expensive or cheaper than other September dates.
Lightning Lane Multi Pass allows access to most of the Lightning Lanes in Disney World, and this September (at least through September 18th), prices range between $15 and $29 per person per day. In August, we saw prices reach up to $35.
The Lightning Lane Single Pass gives you access to the most popular ride in each Disney World theme park (Magic Kingdom has TWO). Single Passes in September (through the 18th) range between $11 and $24 per person per ride. According to our data tracking, that’s actually in line with August’s range.
The Lightning Lane Premier Pass grants you one-time entry to EVERY Lightning Lane in the Disney Park of your choosing. Through September 18th, we’ve seen these prices range between $129 and $379. Last month, we saw $419 pop up for one of these bad boys, so this is a noticeable decrease. The cheapest Premier Pass park is Disney’s Animal Kingdom, followed by EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Magic Kingdom is the most expensive Premier Pass location each day.
Speaking of Magic Kingdom, Lightning Lane Multi Pass through September 18th will range between $23 and $29. In August, prices ranged from $29 to $35.
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Single Passes range between $11 and $13. TRON Lightcycle/Run ranges between $19 and $21. There is no change from August thus far.
Over at EPCOT, Multi Pass ranges between $17 and $24 through September 18th. In August, the range was $19 to $26. The Single Pass price this September for Cosmic Rewind is $16 to $18, no change from August.
In Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Multi Pass is going to cost you between $21 and $27 per person per day. Last month, the range was $24 to $29. Rise of the Resistance’s Single Pass is showing a September range of $20 to $24, no change from August.
Finally, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is showing a Multi Pass price range of $15 to $19 per person per day through September 18th. In August, the range was also higher, coming in between $19 and $22. Notably, the Single Pass prices for Flight of Passage are the same as August ($15 to $17), although so far there are actually MORE $17 days through September 18th than there way during the total duration of August.
We’ll continue to keep track of the daily Lightning Lane prices, as they are guaranteed to fluctuate as the year progresses. In the meantime, stay tuned right here at DFB for all the latest Disney World news, tips, tricks, reviews, and more!

I have been tracking these for my trip at the end of September and these are the highest price of the whole month. I don’t see any break at all and it is changing my plan for my vacation completely. I think it’s a gross exaggeration that they’re significantly coming down in price when it’s $34 for a Saturday in MK.
