REVIEW: This UNIQUE Snack at the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival Is Making People Do a Double Take

The 2025 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival has officially opened, and it has a LOT to offer. There are plenty of food booths with tasty items, merchandise items to grab (of course), and even concerts to watch. But don’t let it overwhelm you; we’ve got you covered with everything you need to know. Come along with us as we check out what’s on the menu this year for Swirled Showcase!

The Frozen Apple Pie — Apple pie filling, apple-cinnamon soft-serve, and apple-cinnamon cider topped with streusel — is also returning for this year! New for 2025 are two drinks: Früli Strawberry Belgian White Beer and a Strawberry Beer Float made with Früli Strawberry Belgian White Beer and vanilla soft-serve.

Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself!

Eats

New for this year is the Liquid Nitrogen Frozen Pumpkin Cheesecake Mousse, featuring Philadelphia Cream Cheese, candied pecans, and maple-caramel sauce, for $5.50. Yep, this is like Disney going EXTRA with a fun fall snack. First of all, it was so much fun to watch them prepare this treat.

But what was even better? We got to eat it! First, this is for you pumpkin lovers, and it’s a great sweet treat to enjoy, even if it is too hot to feel like fall in Disney World. The most prominent flavors are pumpkin and cheesecake, and they pair well together. Then you’ve got the caramel on top for an extra bit of sweetness, plus some crunchy pecans for texture. It’s so well-balanced, but it’s also indulgent and definitely a step up from what you might normally find in a classic theme park ice cream treat.

Swirled Showcase is serving up three flavors of soft serve ice cream this year — Vanilla, Apple Cinnamon, and Salted Caramel. Each waffle cone costs $6.50 — you can get the ice cream in a cup, but the price will stay the same.

Last year, we grabbed the Apple Cinnamon soft serve and found it almost like vanilla bean ice cream with a hint of caramel. The Salted Caramel soft serve had a strong aftertaste. It was sugary, thick, and quite rich.

We’ve also checked out the ice cream floats here, finding them cool and refreshing.

Drinks

The Frozen Apple Pie returns again this year. In years past, we found this drink to be better in presentation than it was in taste. It looked adorable, but the actual flavor left a lot to be desired. This year you can order for $6.75.

New for 2025 is the Früli Strawberry Belgian White Beer for $12 AND a Strawberry Beer Float made with Früli Strawberry Belgian White Beer and vanilla soft-serve for $13.25. We had to try the Strawberry Beer Float, and we weren’t disappointed — in fact, it surprised us. We noticed a LOT of people commenting on this treat as they passed by, so it’s safe to say that the combination of beer and soft serve was causing some double takes.

It’s very light and doesn’t really taste like beer, and the strawberry flavor is what you mostly get. Then, when the strawberry and vanilla ice cream flavors mix together, it’s just like a strawberry milkshake.

It’s a great adult drink that is still a lot of fun.

If you’re craving a sweet treat or drink that is perfect for hot Florida days, you need to visit the Swirled Showcase. Not only is the ice cream available here INCREDIBLE, but the Liquid Nitrogen Frozen Pumpkin Cheesecake Mousse might be one of our favorite new fall treats that still works in the Florida heat and humidity. If you’re also looking for a nice cold adult beverage to enjoy, the Strawberry Beer Float can’t be beat.
