REVIEW: NEW FUNNEL CAKE ALERT! This EPCOT Food and Wine Festival Snack Is Thinking Outside the Box

The 2025 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival has officially opened, and it has a LOT to offer. There are plenty of food booths with tasty items, merchandise items to grab (of course), and even concerts to watch. So, how is the Huckleberry Funnel Cake? This funnel cake has huckleberry ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, blackberry brandy glaze, and powdered sugar. This brand-new item is available for $12. This is really interesting…to say the least. We don’t know about you, but we don’t see huckleberry ice cream on the menu too often, so we like that Disney is thinking outside the box here.

Huckleberry Funnel Cake

To start, the ice cream was incredible! Despite the heat, it held up quite well and was a lot less messy than you’d expect when you’re standing in the middle of EPCOT in summer. The huckleberry flavor itself was less fruity and had a more floral, lavender-like taste. It’s definitely not what you’d anticipate.

This was good!

The chocolate sauce pairs so well with it and makes the treat a lot more complex than your typical sugary funnel cake treat. The blackberry glaze lined up more with what we expected the huckleberry ice cream to taste like, with that classic tart berry flavor.

It’s a great shareable treat

For the price, this is a great shareable item. This isn’t something you need to go out of your way for, but it is interesting and complex.

OVERALL

Listen, it’s just funnel cake, so it doesn’t stand out like other items at the festival, but BOY was it tasty!
