You never know what you might find while you are online shopping! We recently spotted this strange Disney World find on Amazon, so of course, we had to give it a try. We want to test out if it is worth the purchase for your next Disney trip!
We put this product to the test during a full day at the Disney World parks, and we are telling you everything. Is this strange find worth $40? We are here to find out!
What exactly are you looking at? It’s the VentaPak Lightweight Ventilation Backpack Spacer. Essentially, the product is trying to provide some ventilation between your backpack and your back. While at the same time, also providing some additional back support and assistance with your posture.
The product clips onto your backpack and acts as a support to keep your backpack from laying on your back. The support allows air to flow between your backpack and your back and helping to prevent the back sweat. We are in the theme parks every single day, and we know how gross it can feel when your entire back is drenched in sweat from carrying around a backpack all day. But there are a lot of essentials that you might want to have with you at the parks, so ditching the backpack entirely might not be an option. Can this product keep your back dry? We found out!
We wore it ALL day long, and we were impressed that it really helped with excessive sweating from wearing a backpack. It allowed some great air flow, and we didn’t have a backpack shaped sweat spot whenever we took off our bag. It also alleviates some of the weight of the bag by redistributing it more evenly. Our back felt SO much better after a day in the parks than normal.
There was one big negative, though. In order for it to work properly and have provide the proper weight distribution, we had to keep our straps pretty tight. With the tightening of the straps, we ended up sweating more in our armpits because of the snug straps. We also found that it made the backpack more difficult to get on and off.
However, even with the negatives, we found that this product made our day in the park much better! Less sweat and less back pain equals a much happier backpack wearer. This product is a bit on the pricy side, so we don’t think it is a necessity unless you really hate back sweat, have someone with back problems carrying a backpack, or someone needs to carry a really large bag for a whole family. We definitely left the park feeling much better, but you can still easily make it through your day without this item!
