Staying at a Disney World hotel comes with some pretty good perks. First, you get access to Disney World’s vast transportation system that will take you to pretty much anywhere you want to go on property. Plus you also get Early Entry Theme Park Entry, while some hotels even get Extended Evening Hours.
One of the newest perks, though, is getting a free Disney water park ticket for your arrival day at a water park of your choice. But soon, that choice won’t actually be a choice, because one of those water parks, Blizzard Beach, will be closing.
For a limited time, Disney World hotel guests can use this free water park ticket on their arrival day at both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. However, guests will soon only have the option to visit Typhoon Lagoon. That’s because Blizzard Beach is set to close on September 8th, leaving only Typhoon Lagoon open to guests during the fall season.
This summer was the first time both water parks have been open since 2020, though. The norm since then has only had one water park open at a time, while the other received refurbishment. Disney World has been alternating between the two parks being open for the past several years. So this summer, Disney World hotel guests had a choice on how to use their free water park ticket for the first time. But that changes in September.
However, the good news is that this Disney World hotel perk will continue into 2026, so that free ticket will be available at whichever water park is open at the time for at least another year. Who knows? Maybe both will be open again at the same time next summer.
We’ll keep an eye on water park hours and closures, so stay tuned to DFB for more.

I loved getting the free water park on arrival day. We went to Typhoon Lagoon on two separate resort stays. We are all over 60 , and just enjoy relaxing on Castaway Creek and lunch at Typhoon Tilly. It would never be worth the price for us if not for this perk!
Early entry should be 1 hr not 1//2. Also all early entry should be admitted separately as in early years, disney allows EVERY ONE IN, making it hard to get past everyone else to get in to 1 single ride. I experianced crowds before me trying to use early entry, crowds waiting for rope drop
We just got back and went to Typhoon Lagoon on our check in day. It was great. We normally don’t get to Walt Disney World until 8 or 9 pm so we decided to take the day off so we could take advantage of this perk. We loved it.
I was glad I finally got to go to Blizzard Beach
