Have ever done something in Disney World that made you question your life choices? Maybe you convinced yourself that Tower of Terror isn’t THAT bad when you’re terrified of drop rides, but you forced yourself to ride it anyway. Maybe you thought, “Hey, why not?” and jumped on Mission SPACE: Orange, only to discover that you aren’t an astronaut and shouldn’t be on a ride that uses the same device that astronauts train on before going into space (no, really).
Or maybe you decided to grab a certain beverage in EPCOT (and some of you know where we’re going with this), although you know it’s pretty awful. Okay, well, we did that last thing …but worse. We paid for it.
Okay, for the uninitiated, you might not be aware of this, but there’s a place in EPCOT called Club Cool where you can try sodas from around the world FOR FREE. Well, some of the sodas are pretty memorable, but none is more memorable than Beverly, which is something that people make their friends try as a prank. Yep, it’s pretty gross (granted, we know some people like Beverly, but we are not those people).
A little background on Beverly. It’s a carbonated soft drink from Italy as a non-alcoholic apéritif, and it’s very, very, very, BITTER. It’s believed to help digestion, but at the same time, it’s kinda’ hard to stomach. We googled it and, apparently, it has grapefruit rind in itm and that’s what gives it the bitter flavor.
But did you know you can buy a whole CUP of Beverly in Disney Springs at the Coca-Cola Rooftop Beverage Bar? Well, we visited Disney Springs, recently, and guess what we did? We paid $3 for a 16-oz. cup of Beverly. Why? Who knows? Maybe we thought it would taste better if we paid for it? Maybe we thought a whole cup would give us an acquired taste for it.
If you’re feeling brave, though, or somehow actually like Beverly, you can also buy a 24 oz. cup of it for $3.50 and a 32 oz. cup for $4. As for us? Well, we’re saving our money and never NEVER doing that to ourselves again.

I’m Italian. I like it. I encourage vacationers to expand their palates.
Beverly is literally the ONLY soda at club cool I like..everything else is a sugar bomb..glad to see you can finally get it somewhere else!!
Beverly is awesome, but definitely not for everyone.
If you like a Negroni (or other Campari cocktails), you will like Beverly. I’ve ordered the large Bev at the Coke Rooftop and enjoyed every ounce. My family think Inam crazy. Oh, well!
Beverly isn’t even that bitter, y’all act like you’re drinking battery acid, I like sweet stuff as much as the next person but Beverly isn’t even that bad.
It is only made for Disney. They changed the recipe so it is not as bitter. It has notes of grapefruit and actually cuts the sweet. I like it.
The Mission Space ride vehicles are actually F-16 fighter pilot training capsules. They wouldn’t hold up under the pressure of one space astronauts need to train under!
