A BRAND-NEW lounge is opening in Disney World soon! We have been eagerly awaiting the grand opening of The Beak and Barrel on August 29th, 2025. However, it has been rough seas for reservations for this highly anticipated tavern themed to the classic Pirates of the Caribbean attraction.

Reservations were initially supposed to open on August 14th, but the reservation system crashed, and we spent most of the day hoping we could get in. Later in the day, though, Disney confirmed that reservations would not be opening on August 14th as expected and instead would open during the week of August 18th. A bit vague, but now we know EXACTLY when reservations will be opening for The Beak and Barrel!

Reservations for The Beak and Barrel will be opening on August 20th, 2025, at 7 PM ET. Yep, 7 PM not 7 AM. This is a bit of a change from when most Advance Dining Reservations open, which is 7 AM. However, Disney might be trying to lessen the demand on their system a bit by opening the reservations in the evening instead of when everyone is trying to book everything.

We are sending lots of pixie dust that August 20th at 7 PM will be a successful attempt at opening reservations for The Beak and Barrel. You already know that we will be in the trenches trying to score a reservation, too! We are also sending all the positive vibes to everyone else who is also trying to score a reservation for this new lounge.

We can’t wait to try out this new tavern in Magic Kingdom! This new lounge will continue the story of Pirates of the Caribbean, and it follows Captain Meridian “Merry” Goldwyn, who established this “lively pirate pub.” Her first mate, Rummy, will be the tavern’s quartermaster and will keep an eye on the lounge from a roost at the top of the pub.

The menu features a variety of cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages, and a few options for food. You can even grab the Kraken’s Catch which is octopus tentacles marinated in lemon and lime juice with olives, bell peppers, avocado, and piquillo pepper-almond foam.
