We Know When You Can Watch Disney and Pixar's 'Elio' at Home!

Pixar’s latest space adventure is headed to our homes!

Disney Pixar’s Elio released to theatres on June 20th, 2025, and now it’s time to take it into the comfort of our own homes! Let’s take a look at the details.

It’s time for you and your family to embark on an interstellar adventure from your couch! Disney Pixar’s Elio will officially become available on digital platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango, starting on August 19th.

Streaming may be the most popular way to watch content, but we still love collecting DVDs! So, we also have our calendars set for September 9th, as the newest Pixar movie will drop on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD.

The newest Pixar movie takes you on an adventure through outer space when alien-obsessed Elio Solís suddenly has a close encounter with intergalactic beings. After trying everything to contact extraterrestrials, Elio is shocked when they not only respond, but when they take him up to their “Communiverse”.

We won’t go into any spoilers, but let’s just say, things get interesting when the cosmic beings believe him to be the ruler of Earth! Elio’s experience in the Communiverse not only expands his horizons but also teaches him how important it is to build connections with loved ones back on Earth. It’s a great movie that touches on subjects such as building connections and loving what you have.

Elio didn’t particularly perform amazingly when it came to box office numbers, especially with the high bar that Pixar has set for itself. After all, the last Pixar movie to come out was Inside Out 2, which grossed over $1 billion worldwide. That being said, in-home viewing of Elio with 4K Ultra HD is sure to blow audiences away. We’re talking about a Pixar animated space adventure; the visuals truly pop.

The Blu-ray release will offer hours of exclusive bonus content, including astronautic and artistic featurettes. That’s not all, the Blu-ray will also have a gag reel, deleted scenes, and a peek at Pixar’s Easter Egg inclusions. The 4K UHD will be available in a collectible limited edition SteelBook with astronomically appealing artwork and packaging, displaying the beauty and wonder of Elio’s adventure, along with a couple of his new extraterrestrial friends. Not to mention, SteelBook releases are fun to collect!
