A big Lightning Lane change is coming to Disney World!

I visit Disney World frequently, and I have been wondering when Hollywood Studios would implement this specific Lightning Lane change. Well, that time has finally come, and it will start next week. Let’s take a look at the details!

Disney World’s Lightning Lanes provide access to “Lightning Lanes” for rides so guests can bypass Standby lines for select attractions through an extra purchase made on the My Disney Experience app.

We were wondering when a certain new attraction at Hollywood Studios would get a Lightning Lane, and now the time is finally here. As of August 20th, 2025, guests with valid admission to the park can select The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure as a Lightning Lane Multi-Pass option for use beginning on September 11th!

The entrance of the brand-new show had two line options — a standby line and a Lightning Lane line. However, the Lightning Lane line was never open. That is, until next week!

The Lightning Lane Multi Pass option available for the attraction will be a part of the second tier of Lightning Lane attractions. This second tier of attractions also includes Alien Swirling Saucers, Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage, and more (think attractions that aren’t E-ticket).
Who wants to see the new show?
Guests will be able to enjoy this addition to their options as part of the Lightning Lane Multi Pass very soon. Like we mentioned, the first eligible guests will see this new option on August 20th, but it will be for use starting September 11th, 2o25. So just keep that in mind!

Hollywood Studios is always one of the busier parks, and Lightning Lane can help you make sure you do everything in your Disney day that you want to do.
