I Was Today Years Old When I Learned This Hotel Has Its Own TSA Security Checkpoint

If you’ve traveled to visit either Disney World or Disneyland, you’ve probably spent some time in an airport and a LOT of time waiting in line at the TSA security checkpoint.

Now, granted, some recent changes have made the TSA checkpoints a little easier and faster to navigate plus if you have TSA PreCheck, you can skip on over to the (sometimes) shorter TSA PreCheck shorter line. However, one hotel makes going through security even easier because you can do it right AT the hotel…and you don’t even have to be staying there to use this security checkpoint!

According to the Minnesota Star Tribune, the InterContinental Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport Hotel has brought back its security point after five years of being closed. This checkpoint allows hotel guests (or those visiting the hotel) access directly into the main terminal of the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport.

There is ONE big catch, though. According to the hotel’s website, you can only use its on-site TSA checkpoint if you have carry-on bags, and the checkpoint is only open from 5 AM to 10 AM. If you have bags that need to be checked or have a flight later than that, you’ll still have to use the security checkpoint at the airport.

The InterContinental Minneapolis – Saint Paul Airport is the only hotel directly connected to the airport’s Terminal 1 with skybridge access from Gate C25. For those who need to go through airport security, instead, though, the hotel also offers a 24-hour shuttle to both terminals. Note that if you’re flying from Terminal 2, you will not be able to use the hotel’s security checkpoint. It also doesn’t offer TSA PreCheck services.
