REVIEW: Disney World’s Newest Snack Is Just as Tasty as It Is Pretty

It’s World Princess Week, and you know what that means!

It’s World Princess Week!

Disney World is celebrating with some limited-time treats! Several new and returning Princess-themed snacks for your favorite heroines just popped up all around Disney World, and we’re heading to Amorette’s Patisserie to try a NEW dessert!

We stopped by Amorette’s Patisseries to grab the new Colors of the Wind Petit Cake for World Princess Week! It’s available for $22 and is made with almond chiffon, cherry jam, citrus mousse, and chocolate shavings. Sounds like an intriguing combination!

This was one of the better petit cakes we have had! Our reporter, who tried it, is not a huge fan of fondant, which the petit cakes usually have. Luckily, it is usually a pretty thin layer, and you can easily eat around it. It does make it a bit difficult to cut and eat, but it does make them look polished! It’s also definitely shareable! We would probably recommend grabbing a buddy and eating it pretty quickly after you buy, as it melts pretty fast.

So many layers

The flavor combinations in this cake are really good! The almond flavor isn’t overwhelming at all, which we feel like it can sometimes be, but you can still taste it. Cherry is one of the more prominent flavors, but it is a fresh-tasting cherry, not a fake cherry flavor. The citrus flavor is very light. We really loved the texture of the chocolate shavings in the cake! It added a great crunch amidst a lot of softness. You will want to be a fan of almond and cherry flavors, but if you are, we think you will love this cake!
