You’re brain might automatically go to Disneyland or Disney World (hi Disney Adults!), or maybe Universal Studios if all you think about is rides. If we’re including food and nostalgia, Disneyland should take the prize, right?

The most highly rated theme park in the United States is…Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee!

TripAdvisor gives this award to those “who receive a high volume of above-and-beyond reviews and opinions from the TripAdvisor community over a 12-month period.” Out of 8 million listings, fewer than 1% achieve this goal.

Let’s give a round of applause to Dollywood for this incredible achievement! If you haven’t been, Dolly Parton, yes, the famous singer, created her own theme park!

She grew up in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, and the park has a downhome feeling with sing-alongs, coasters, and thrill rides.

Beyond the theme park, there are also two resorts and one water park to try out. The park is currently celebrating its 40th anniversary and even has fun dinner shows like Dolly Parton’s Stampede Dinner Attraction to enjoy.
