A word of warning, if you’re heading to Walt Disney World this fall, there are some days you may just want to avoid the “Most Magical Place on Earth.”
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is one of Disney World’s most beloved annual traditions, offering spooktacular delights including treats, shows, special ride overlays, and even Disney’s best-known characters in their Halloween best.
One of the biggest benefits for Not-So-Scary visitors? Ticket holders will be admitted to Magic Kingdom park as early as 4:00 PM on the valid date of their party ticket. However, that perk for party guests also makes the Magic Kingdom a place to avoid for most non-party guests on Mickey’s Not-So-Scary nights.
For those unfamiliar, the Magic Kingdom closes at 6:00 for non-party guests each party night, meaning that a regular day guest’s time at the park will be cut short. While this may not affect guests who have park hopper tickets and may want to quickly pop in to the Magic Kingdom in the morning before heading to another park, those looking to have a full day at a Disney theme park may want to head to EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, or Animal Kingdom. Believe me, I’ve been ushered out of the Magic Kingdom unceremoniously on a party night, and it’s not a fun way to end the day.
This year, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will run for 38 nights at the Magic Kingdom:
- August 15th, 17th, 19th, 22nd, 24th, 26th, 29th
- September 2nd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 12th, 14th, 16th, 19th, 21st, 23rd, 25th, 26th, 28th, 30th
- October 2025: 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 10th, 13th, 14th, 16th, 17th, 19th, 23rd, 24th, 26th, 28th, 30th, and (of course) 31st
If you’re heading to Disney World anytime this fall, it’s likely worth AVOIDING the Magic Kingdom on these days… or try and see if party tickets are still available on your given date! Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney World tips.
