Sure, Star Wars fans can visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland to get their fill of all things Star Wars. But there’s also a way to have some legit Star Wars fun in Tomorrowland, too, through the Star Tours ride. After all, this ride was the FIRST Star Wars attraction in Disneyland.

However, Star Tours closed on June 30th for refurbishment (aka probably some much-needed maintenance) and has remained closed since then. However, we think the Disneyland calendar just unveiled the reopening date for Star Tours: September 5th.

Now, Disneyland already had plans to reopen the ride on September 5th, but as we know, sometimes ride reopenings get delayed…or even happen earlier. However, we looked at the Disneyland page for Star Tours and noticed that the ride is showing hours starting on September 5th, which suggests it will be reopening then.

Of course, this date could change, and we recently saw a situation in Disney World where a ride was showing hours on its reopening date, but it actually didn’t reopen until the next day. So you’ll want to keep an eye on the Disneyland app to see if the ride will be open during your next Disneyland visit.

You’ll also want to be aware of other ride closures in Disneyland that could affect your stay. The Storybook Land Canal Boats in Fantasyland closed on July 28th, with no reopening date announced yet. The Casey Jr. Circus Train also closed on July 28th and does not yet have a reopening date. You can keep an eye on all Disneyland and Disney California ride closures here.
