If you haven’t had the joy of walking onto a Disney Cruise Line ship, take it from me, you need to add it to your bucket list. As soon as you meet your favorite characters in sailor outfits, try food at a restaurant where you don’t have to worry about the prices (girl math says it’s free!), And see one-of-a-kind entertainment every night, you’ll have a hard time not cruising again.
The Disney Destiny is the newest ship from Disney Cruise Line, which will begin embarking from Florida this November. We have just received a significant update on the boat.
Spider-Man has made his debut and is the first Marvel character to be on the stern of a Disney Cruise ship. They have to use cranes to bring it up and secure it to the back of the ship.
Look at the little Spider-Bots around him! They are ready for their own cruise with sunglasses and a snorkel mask. One is even holding a yellow paintbrush and was the one who made the iconic yellow stripe on the ship.
The Disney Destiny is the first heroes and villains themed ship, and I couldn’t be more excited. Classic heroes like the Black Panther, Hercules, and The Incredibles had nods around the boat, along with villains like Maleficent and Cruella de Vil.
Along with the new heroes and villains theme comes new experiences! There will be De Vil’s Piano Lounge, themed to the most evil fashionista…
… and Edna A La Mode Sweets, which is a candy shop dedicated to the other fashionista at Disney.
Hercules fans are going to lose their minds (well, I did, so I know you will, too). There will be an all-new stage show dedicated to the movie, featuring incredible music and a larger-than-life puppet for when Hercules battles the Hydra. I’ve seen many Disney stage shows, but this is the one I’m most excited about.
The Disney Destiny sets sail on its maiden voyage on November 20th from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and we’ll be here ready to spill all the details to you. From the best food, the coolest characters, and the best shows, we’ll tell you everything you need to know for your best cruise ever. Make sure you keep following Disney Food Blog for more!
