Disney World is bringing back a few beloved holiday events this year — but the resort is also making it harder to attend.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and Disney Jollywood Nights are all returning in 2025, and we’re super excited to experience everything these events have to offer! However, something we’re not excited about is the price increase for all three events.
That’s right, all three after-hours events will be more expensive in 2025 — a trend we’ve already seen for a ton of routine offerings at Disney World like food and park tickets. Each year, Disney World gets more expensive, and we don’t see that changing anytime soon. We’ve been visiting Disney World daily for YEARS now, and these price increases have been our least favorite trend.
Let’s first cover the two parties happening at Magic Kingdom. When the dates for the 2025 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party dropped, we learned a scary truth. Ticket prices vary by date, with prices ranging from $119 to $229. That base price is the same as last year, but the top end is a $30 increase from 2024! Last year, the max price per ticket was $199.
As for the party itself, this is a separately-ticketed event (as are the other two events) — meaning, if you want a full day at the park, you’ll need to buy a regular Disney World park ticket in addition to this event ticket. When you factor in the price increases and paying for each individual in your group, the totals look mighty terrifying.
Guests can enter the party as early as 4 PM, and the party runs from 7 PM until midnight. You can attend on select dates in August, September, and October. The dates for this year’s party are as follows:
- August: 15, 17, 19, 22, 24, 26, 29
- September: 2, 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 19, 21, 23, 25, 26, 28, 30
- October: 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 13, 14, 16, 17, 19, 23, 24, 26, 28, 30, 31
Later this year at Magic Kingdom, the park is hosting Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and this, too, won’t be kind on your wallet. In 2024, adult ticket prices ranged from $169 to $219, but in 2025, they will cost anywhere from $169 to $229 per ticket, plus tax. Once again, the cheapest prices stay the same, but tickets for those popular dates (typically when we get closer to Christmas Day) are up $10.
The 2025 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party dates will run on select nights in November and December, and are as follows:
- November: 7th, 10th, 11th, 13th, 14th, 16th, 18th, 20th, 21st, 25th, 26th, 28th, 30th
- December: 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 9th, 11th, 12th, 14th, 16th, 18th, 19th, 21st
Tickets to the event include Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration, Complimentary Treats, access to several attractions with lower wait times, and much more!
Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Jollywood Nights is back for another year and at a price increase. In 2024, tickets ranged from $159 to $179, but in 2025, they range from $159 to $199. Again, the base stays the same while the ceiling goes up $20 depending on the date of your visit.
Jollywood Nights will be offered in November and December on select nights, and the dates are as follows:
- November: 8th, 15th, 17th, 22nd, 24th, 29th
- December: 1st, 6th, 10th, 13th, 17th, 20th, 22nd
Tickets allow access to special shows, event-exclusive merch and treats, short lines at select rides, Jazzy Holidays — a speakeasy-inspired jazz lounge, Twilight Soirée at the Tip Top Club, special character meet-and-greets, and more!

The real question is not whether or not Disney’s prices are becoming too expensive, but rather, how much do you really enjoy going? Something to think about
Just can’t afford to go to Disney. Prior to Covid I was an annual pass member and visited WDW over 100 times from 1990 to 2020. After Covid, I have not gone once. Bob Iger and the latest groupof imagineers have ruined the parks after Michael Eisner left. Too bad.
I would have loved to go to both Christmas parties, but it’s just too expensive to do both. We have tickets for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, but I’ll have to save Jollywood Nights for another year, unless the next price increase makes that impossible.
I don’t like paying these high prices any more than the next person, but unfortunately it is based on Supply and Demand. As long as Disney keeps selling out (or nearly selling out) these events, they will keep raising prices because so many people are willing to pay for them. Only when attendance starts to significantly decrease, and their surveys show that it is because of high prices, will we see a leveling off, or even decrease in prices. Until that happens, if you go, have fun!
