This spontaneous, high-energy flash mob isn’t listed in the Disney app or the Times Guide, which makes it a magical surprise for lucky guests who happen to be in the right place at the right time. It’s an unscheduled character dance party that breaks out in the streets, bringing some of your favorite pals to life in a totally unexpected way.
This rare event features beloved Disney characters like Big Al and Wendell from Country Bear Jamboree, Chip and Dale, and even Clarabelle Cow and Horace Horsecollar — characters you don’t always see out and about! Our favorite unexpected surprises have definitely been delivered by cast members. We have been fortunate to be on the receiving end of so much magic by the wonderful people at Disney. We don’t talk about it much, but when we do, people sometimes do ask “How?”, and complain that it’s never happened for them. My answer is you can’t look for it. “Expecting” it is probably a sure path to being disappointed. Be polite, appreciative, well behaved, patient, follow the rules, and treat cast members like fellow human beings and not audio-animatronics there to make you happier, and they will often be eager to share the magic that they have to share.
