But this new show is unlike anything you’ve seen before — it’s not a drama, not a dramedy, not a cartoon, and not a kids’ show. Nope, this is a NEWS show! Want all the details? We’ve got them right here.
The new TV show is called “WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW” and premieres on July 21st on Disney+. The show is produced by ABC News and will be anchored by Chief International Correspondent James Longman and Senior Political Correspondent Rachel Scott.

New episodes will drop weekdays at 6 AM ET, and the show is described as a “fast, fresh way to stay ahead of the conversation as viewers start their day. From breaking headlines and the day’s biggest stories to entertainment buzz and viral videos, the show has everything you need to know.” Each episode will be available for 24 hours before refreshing to the most recent episode and news.

In an interview about the show, Longman and Scott said that the goal of the show is to “cut through the noise, break down the top headlines, and bring viewers up to speed on the top stories of the day.” This new show joins the currently available ABC News programming available on Disney+, like “Good Morning America,” “ABC World News Tonight with David Muir,” “ABC News Live Prime with Linsey Davis,” “Nightline,” and ABC News Live streaming news channel content. However, this is the first ABC News show that is SOLELY available on Disney+.
