After bringing the world’s biggest LEGOLAND to Shanghai, LEGOLAND is set to bring brand-new experiences to both Florida and California — and they’re going to be out-of-this-world!

New space-themed experiences are going to be coming to the Florida and California LEGOLAND Resorts in what will be the biggest single in-park investment EVER! Let’s take a look at the details.

The owner and operator of the LEGOLAND Resorts, Merlin Entertainments, made a huge announcement on changes coming to the LEGOLAND Resorts in California and Florida. The announcement was for brand-new space-themed experiences, with £70 million (around $94 million) already announced for the two resorts. The new space-themed experiences will offer guests an amazing time, including an all-new indoor rollercoaster!

The experiences featuring the indoor coaster are set to debut in early 2026. The coasters are going to be groundbreaking, as they will be the most technologically advanced indoor coasters featuring a fully immersive mission for your space travel.

LEGOLAND Florida will have its coaster launched from launchpad Spaceport 885. The new coaster will feature an immersive interactive queue to start off your mission. On top of that, there will be a new Orbital Outpost where you can collect new sets and space-themed souvenirs. Your little ones will also have a spot to play, with the DUPLO Tot Spot. It will offer a soft play zone for kids aged 1-4!

LEGOLAND California’s coaster will liftoff from LEGOLAND Spaceport 886, and there will be two additional space-themed rides. We’re excited to hear more about those! The new area will also offer a Galactic Grub and Gear where you can grab “out-of-this-world food and beverages” and shop around for some space-themed souvenirs. Kids, get prepared for space exploration with the new Junior Astronaut Training Zone.
