Welcome to summer in Disney World, when you’re probably going to be craving a nice, cold treat. Sure, there’s always DOLE Whip, but sometimes you just want ice cream.
Now, if you’re visiting the EPCOT area resorts, you’ll find Beaches and Cream at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. Beaches and Cream has a table service restaurant where you can order savory food AND ice cream treats, but it also has a to-go window if you want a cold treat without the hassle of a sit-down dining reservation. Well, something has changed at the Beaches and Cream To-Go Window.
If you’re looking for a sweet treat and don’t have a reservation for Beaches & Cream, you can still get ice cream treats from the restaurant at the To-Go menu.
However, we just visited the location and noticed that something is now missing from the menu. If you want to order a sundae to go, you’re now out of luck. All that’s available on the menu starting NOW is floats, shakes, cups, cones, and ice cream sandwiches.
So the only way to get a Beaches and Cream sundae right now is by grabbing a reservation at the table service restaurant. HOWEVER, you do have another option: you can always get a sundae at BoardWalk Ice Cream, just over by The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers. BONUS: You can order the Thundering Surf Peanut Butter and Chocolate Sundae, which is a good dupe for Beaches and Cream’s No Way Jose (a fave of ours).
So if you’re craving something more than a float or shake, you’ll have to get it somewhere besides the Beaches and Cream To-Go Window.

This is a popular place to eat!

I’m curious. Are you just basing this on the menu or did you actually try to order a sundae and were denied? I don’t recall the sundae’s ever being on the take out window menu but you could still get them if you asked.
We managed the Kitchen Sink between 3 of us here. Reading this article made me wonder why every resort or at least every deluxe resort doesn’t have a small ice cream spot. You mentioned 2 in this article and there is also the Pineapple Lanai at the Poly. I think there may be an ice cream shop at either Swan or Dolphin too. Even if it was just seasonal at certain resorts I think they would be well used in the Florida summer heat.
Hi Janet! Our reporter physically tried to order in person. 🙂
Thanks for responding – even if it’s not the answer I was hoping for 😉. That’s a bummer! I guess it’s off to the Boardwalk.
Does this include the Kitchen Sink or Minnie Kitchen Sink?
Hi Ryan! You can not order sundaes of any kind at the window anymore. You will have to go inside.
