Recently, Disney has announced new lands, attractions, and entertainment headed to the theme parks, new ships coming to the Disney Cruise Line, and so much more. But, what about those projects that Disney hasn’t exactly announced yet?
Keeping up with the latest construction permits Disney World files can be a great way to find out just what is going on around the parks and hotels, and we recently spotted some you might want to know about!
We’re always on the hunt for the latest construction permits filed by Disney to get an idea of what sort of changes might be coming to the parks, and here’s what we found this time around — starting with Magic Kingdom.
We spotted a new permit for “it’s a small world” that is listed as “General Construction,” meaning it doesn’t get a whole lot more specific. We do know that new changes are coming to this ride in the form of updated song lyrics, so we’ll have to wait and see if this permit has anything to do with additional changes.
Over in Adventureland, a new permit was recently filed for some electrical work over at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe. This work likely won’t impact the restaurant’s operations or any upcoming visits, but we’ll let you know if that changes!
Zooming over to Tomorrowland, where another quick-service spot is getting some TLC — this time, it’s Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe! A permit for mechanical work was recently filed for this spot. Like Pecos Bill’s, we don’t anticipate this impacting your trip — but it’s good to know either way.
Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, we’re sadly watching the demise of DinoLand U.S.A. as Disney begins its transformation to Pueblo Esperanza. While much of the land has already closed, part of it remains open — including Restaurantosaurus. A new permit was filed for general construction, but it appears it might not be anything too dramatic yet, as the contractor on file is an electrician.
In the meantime, we’ll be on the hunt for new updates from Disney World and more — so stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest news!
