What a summer for Universal Orlando, right? The opening of Epic Universe has shaken things up in the theme park department in Orlando, and we’re still not over just how, well, EPIC, Epic Universe really is.

There’s just one big problem, though, with Epic Universe if you’re an Annual Passholder. Now, of course, Universal Orlando Passholders did get to see Epic Universe before everyone else, but if they want to visit, even now, they have to pay for a special discounted ticket to visit the new theme park. However, we think we just saw a sign that this could change soon…at least by the start of 2026.

We were recently perusing the Annual Passholder information on the official Universal Orlando website, and saw some language that made us think about this a bit. Passholder perks in Epic Universe are set to expire on December 31st, 2025. These perks include special discounts on dining and merchandise, as well as parking perks. However, those perks also include discounted tickets to Epic Universe. Don’t forget — Epic Universe is NOT currently included as one of the parks you can visit with an Annual Pass.

So, what does that new expiration date mean? Well, nothing, really, but it could potentially mean that a change is coming in 2026 for Universal Orlando Passholders, including the chance to upgrade that pass to include Epic Universe. We’re assuming some of the other perks, like the discounts, would still be valid going into the new year. Now, Universal Orlando hasn’t specified any such thing just yet or made any announcements about what Universal Orlando Annual Passholders will be getting in 2026, but we just wanted to point out that little detail. Sneaky, eh?
