When it comes to dining at Disney World, you’ve got so much to choose from. You’ve got options ranging from quick and easy, which are great for days you’re running around doing everything you can, while other sit-down, table service restaurant options are available for when you want to treat yourself and take a breather.
We recently stopped by Beaches and Cream Soda Shop at Disney’s Beach Club Resort to see what was cookin’, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. This has been a fan-favorite for a really long time. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth? Find out here!
Atmosphere
One of the things we love about this restaurant is how bright and colorful it is. With its soda shop vibe, you feel like you’re stepping back in time to the 1950s or 1960s, especially thanks to the jukebox playing music from that time throughout your visit.
We love the design details here too — the fun ceiling fixtures and artwork of classic Disney characters especially caught our eye, and it truly feels like a fantastic fit for the rest of the Beach Club Resort atmosphere.
But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?!
Menu
What shocked us in the best way was the pricing! We very much appreciated the variety on the menu and the affordability.
These prices aren’t bad at all, especially considering this is a table service restaurant at a deluxe Disney World resort. If you’re looking for ice cream treats and don’t really want to sit down, there is a to-go window option outside the restaurant that doesn’t require any reservations at all!
And now, onto the main event — the food!
Eats
First up, we grabbed the French Dip Sandwich for $22. This is a Toasted French Roll served with Thinly Sliced Roast Beef, Swiss, and Au Jus, topped with Crispy-fried Onions, served with your choice of Potato Tots, French Fries, or Fresh Fruit.
We would have appreciated more sauce to dip the sandwich into, and we could have done without the crispy onion pieces in the sandwich — they just got soggy in between the other ingredients and fell apart when dipped in the sauce.
We decided to get our meal with tater tots, and while they weren’t anything special, they certainly weren’t bad either — just middle-of-the-road tater tots. The fact that this sandwich was already cut in half for us was a bonus in our eyes, but other than that, this sandwich was just meh for us. We don’t think we’d get it again, but it’s certainly not a terrible option on the menu.
We also grabbed the Cheddar-Bacon-Ranch Chicken Sandwich for $21, which is Sautéed Onion, Lettuce, and Tomato on a Multigrain Bun served with your choice of Potato Tots, French Fries, or Fresh Fruit.
This one unfortunately fell flat for us. The juiciness of the chicken on the outside made us believe we were in for some great flavors, but that’s just not what happened. We did enjoy the extra ground pepper taste it had to it, and while the bread threw us off a little at first, we did like the break from classic white bread.
We also enjoyed that everything was melted together well, as well as the dressing on here, but we think the sandwich would have benefited from more of that ranch sauce flavor. It certainly isn’t a bad chicken sandwich; it just didn’t WOW us. And it’s nice that it won’t completely break the bank.
Then it was time for what we were really looking forward to — DESSERT! You truly come here for the dessert. This spot is known for the Kitchen Sink and the No Way Jose. So keep that in mind!
The No Way José is $13.50 and is A Peanut Butter and Hot Fudge delight featuring Chocolate and Vanilla Ice Cream, Peanut Butter and Chocolate Morsels, Whipped Cream, and a Cherry. This thing comes in a MASSIVE, deep bowl that’s likely easily shareable between 2-3 people.
There’s essentially a giant scoop of peanut butter at the bottom, so we found ourselves really needing to dig our spoon around to get a bite of everything all together, but we weren’t complaining! If you’re a big chocolate fan, this is 100% going to be a fantastic choice for you, but keep in mind that there are a LOT of toppings on top, and when it starts to melt, it’ll start coming out of the sides if it’s still full to the brim.
Now, if you’re a big peanut butter fan, this may not have enough peanut butter for you to really enjoy it, but if you just like hints of it in each bite, or you don’t need it to be the main flavor, you’ll likely really love this. It’s a classic for a reason, and we really enjoyed it!
But is all of this worth a stop here? Well, let’s break it down
Nosh or Not
This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if…
- You love ice cream and/or are looking for some great desserts
- You need a menu that’s safe for pickier eaters
- You really love the theming
You should skip this Disney World spot if…
- The quality/taste of your main meal items is more important than the taste of dessert
- You’re not staying here or going to EPCOT
- You’re looking for a meal that will really wow you
Overall
We can really see why this restaurant is a favorite of many Disney fans. While the menu has some great, more interesting options, they’re also safe for almost all eaters, making it picky-eater-friendly. We think the best way to sum it up here is “come for the desserts, stay for the food” — we really do think the desserts are the star of the show here, but the meals aren’t bad at all.
We do still think this is a fun stop if you and your kiddos want to try some massive ice cream! The food isn’t going to blow you away, but the desserts are so exciting, and there really is something for everyone!

Never ate there but will give it a try. Looks like fun! Wish they had hot digs or chicken Caesar salad. Will definitely have the brownie ale mode sundae!

You can get extra sauce or au jus for your sandwich if you ask your server. Probably the most ordered is the grilled cheese with tomato bisque.
As far as the No Way Jose, the last one I had in May, it had a lot of both hot fudge and peanut butter.. and I don’t think that it can feed 2 or 3 people.. maybe 2 or 3 small eaters, but it does me ok for filling me up
We were just there last week and it was awful. Loud, dirty, poor quality food including the ice cream and poor service. We were looking forward to the ice cream and were totally disappointed. Won’t go back
We have eaten here a few times. It is a strong no for us. Food is subpar. I would like to see DFB rate the best restaurants for lunch in the Boardwalk area sometime. That would be interesting.
Beaches and Cream was always our family’s favorite years ago when it was small and just so much fun. The menu was better too. You could actually hear the fun 50’s & 60’s music and we knew most of the servers by name. Brian was our favorite along with Herlena but so many nice people.
We understand they thought they had to expand but they ruined it! Menu not nearly as good- tater tots?
We loved the chili dogs and fries!
The atmosphere is gone now but the ice cream treats are still great thank goodness! Best banana split we have ever had. Hello to Brian if he is still there.
Glad we have our fun memories from when it was just a little place.
I love Beaches and Cream!! I love it so much that I’m happy to go there by myself, even though I usually do quick service if I’m eating alone. I love the burger here – it might not be the fanciest or the most exciting burger you can get in Disney World, but it’s a good, classic burger that has never disappointed me. I also love the fries – soft inside, crispy outside, and all-over delicious! I’d recommend Beaches and Cream to anyone.
Went there once for dinner summer 2024, and NEVER AGAIN. The food was horrible in my opinion, I don’t know if we were there on an off day, or if that is the norm (based on the above review, I’m inclined to say it was the norm). Wait staff were inattentive, and after a hot day dealing with children having non stop tantrums, I just wanted to have a good meal. This place did not do it. I wouldn’t recommend anyone eating here with high hopes of the menu, maybe just stick to it for dessert and the experience will be more pleasant.
