There are really only two ways to get to Orlando, Florida: you can take a little road trip and drive straight to Disney World, or you can hop on a plane and land at the Orlando International Airport. Of course, there are a LOT of factors that go into planning a trip to Disney World, but one of the biggest things to consider is the budget.

If you’re weighing the idea of driving to Disney World, you might want to listen up! We have an important update about the cost of a road trip, and it might sway your decision to hop in the car for a road trip.
The cost of gas can seriously impact your road trip budget, and this summer, gas prices are expected to fall, per Click Orlando. The upcoming Fourth of July holiday weekend is fast approaching, and millions of Americans are expected to hit the road for the holiday.

Driving to Disney World could be less expensive!
The average price of gasoline per gallon dropped 25.9 cents since last month and is 46.9 cents cheaper than one year ago, per Click Orlando.

Gas prices change pretty often
Right now, the average price per gallon is $2.89 in Florida, while prices in the Orlando area range from $2.63 to $3.15.

The national average is $3.14 per gallon, which is 32.1 cents cheaper than a year ago. The price is up 1.1 cents from May 2025.

Currently, the price of gas is set to hit its lowest Fourth of July price since 2021, according to current projections per Click Orlando.
