You might have heard of how incredible EPCOT’s food options are, but now it’s time to celebrate Hollywood Studios! This park offers a variety of great quick-service and snack options, as well as full-service sit-down restaurants. With so many options, where do you start?
We headed to BaseLine Tap House on Grand Avenue to try out a few snacks and bring you a full review. Do you need to stop by this popular restaurant, or should you skip it on your Hollywood Studios day? Let’s find out!
Atmosphere
BaseLine is a small bar restaurant on the corner of Grand Avenue. It has a limited number of tables inside, and a larger patio outside. You’ll order at the counter, grab your items, and take your food to go or to a nearby table.
This spot usually has a pretty long line, but don’t be fooled, with only three options for snacks and the rest being drinks, the line moves pretty quickly. It’s open from 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM and is here to serve California brews and wine.
This is a great spot to relax and unwind for a little while. We will say, some of the tables are high tops, so it might not be the easiest place if you have small children. There are a few booths, but they can fill up quickly! The good news is that you can always treat it as a grab-and-go spot as well.
Now that we’re here, what’s on the menu?
Menu
This restaurant serves a few small plates and plenty of alcoholic drinks! They have an extensive menu of craft beer on tap, including IPAs, flights, ciders, ales, and many more. BaseLine offers a few wines and cocktails as well.
This might not be the place to grab a full meal, but we love the snack options that are different than what we can find in other places in the park. When you need a pick-me-up before a bigger meal, this is the place to be.
Enough about the menu, let’s eat!
Eats
We started with the Bavarian Pretzel for $10. This is a large pretzel served with beer-cheese fondue and spicy mustard.
This pretzel is so big! It’s a great shareable size, and you can even ask for two sides of cheese instead of the mustard if you want. There is a lot of salt on top of each bite, and we gotta say, these are definitely better than the traditional Mickey pretzel you can get in every park. We thought it was a bit dry due to its thickness, and while we loved the flavor of the beer-cheese fondue, it came with a skin on top that we didn’t love.
The mustard was spicy with a great bite, and we alternated between the cheese and the mustard with each bite. Due to its large size, you may want to add a few more cups of sauce to make it easier to share.
Then we had the California Cheese and Charcuterie Plate for $13. This dish comes with Point Reyes original blue cheese, Mt. Tam Brie, Midnight Moon goat cheese, sopressata salami, sliced bresaola, blueberry compote, onion jam, and bread and butter pickles, served with lavash.
Mmm. Who doesn’t love a cheese board? This board had tons of options, including three different cheeses, two different meats, and plenty of accompaniments. We enjoyed finding new combinations, and for $13, it was a significant amount and again, super easy to share. Our biggest complaint? We needed more crackers!
With all the meats and cheeses, there was not enough bread to make this shareable, but if you get the Bavarian Pretzel, you can combine the two. This addresses the issue of the lack of bread and the dryness of the pretzel. Win-win!
Drinks
To drink, we had the Barrilitos Strawberry Hibiscus Soda on Tap for $4.99.
We’re glad that BaseLine offers alcohol-free options, even though it’s known for its beer. Right after the first sip, we knew this was going to be a strong one. It had a harsh artificial taste and reminded us a bit of drinking cold medicine. That being said, once the ice melted, we were able to try a bit more of the other flavors, but we’re still not sure we would order this one again.
Nosh or Not
You’ll want to head to BaseLine Tap House if…
- You’re looking for a quick snack and drink on your Hollywood Studios day
- You want affordable, shareable dishes
- You prefer traditional snacks that are fan favorites without being too out of the box
You should skip this spot if…
- You want more dining options and seating
- You are looking for a wider variety of menu items
- You don’t care much for drinks, and pretzels and cheese boards aren’t your thing
Overall
Should you head to BaseLine Tap House? Well, depends on what you’re looking for. We love this spot for its shareable snacks and unique brews, but if you’re looking for more unique dishes or a full meal, this might not be your spot. We think the ultimate hack here is to order both the pretzel and the cheese board for the ultimate combination! They have a wide selection of beers on tap to try, making it perfect for those looking to grab a drink during their day at Hollywood Studios.

This is a MUST for our family every single time we go to HS!!! We always get both the pretzel and the charcuterie board and you can get cider and beer flights here as well. Yummy! We love to sit outside and have a leisurely snack/lunch and a couple of beers. There is a restroom nearby and is a great location for people watching. My only complaints are it is difficult to find a table outside and limited shade available.
