GEO-82 is officially open, and let us tell you—this lounge is NOT your average Disney World watering hole.
It’s sophisticated, pricey, and tucked away in a spot you’ve probably walked past a hundred times without noticing. And just like Cinderella’s Royal Table, you’re mostly paying for the atmosphere, the exclusivity, and the bragging rights. Here’s what you should know before you grab a reservation—and why this new EPCOT lounge might just be your next must-do (if you’re willing to splurge).
If you’ve ever wished EPCOT had a signature “grown-up” dining experience that felt just a little secret and a lot luxurious, then say hello to GEO-82: A Spaceship Earth Lounge.
It opened quietly on June 4th, 2025, in a space you probably didn’t even realize existed—right behind Spaceship Earth, inside the structure guests exit into after the ride.
You’ll spot the discreet entrance tucked in the back of the Project Tomorrow space, and once inside, you’ll head upstairs to a sleek waiting area. From there, it’s all about rich metallic tones, mood lighting, geometric textures, and a zen that feels worlds away from the theme park chaos outside.
Disney says the name GEO-82 is a nod to the opening year of Spaceship Earth—1982—and the lounge pulls inspiration from the attraction’s iconic design and legacy. Think elevated EPCOT nostalgia with a heavy dose of sophistication.
Now, let’s talk exclusivity. First, GEO-82 only accepts guests 21 and up. Second, Advance Dining Reservations are required — at least for now. And third? If you want the best seats in the house late in the evening — the ones facing out to the World Celebration Gardens — you’ll need to book the GEO-82 Fireworks Experience, which is part of Disney World’s Enchanting Extras Collection and costs a hefty $179 per person. Yes, that’s before drinks. Yes, we did it anyway. And no, we don’t regret it.
The fireworks experience includes sweet and savory bites (tasting tower-style), champagne poured tableside, and cocktails you can’t get anywhere else in Disney World. Watching Luminous: The Symphony of Us from inside GEO-82 is honestly one of the most peaceful, stylish ways to cap off an EPCOT evening — no elbowing for a good view, no kids on shoulders, no race for a bench.
Even outside the fireworks package, the lounge alone is an experience. GEO-82 is 100% designed for adults who want a break from the theme park pace. The vibe is grown-up, quiet, and intentional. You’re not grabbing a drink to-go here. You’re sitting down, staying awhile, and enjoying the show — whether that’s the skyline outside or the bartenders crafting drinks like it’s performance art.
Speaking of drinks, the cocktail menu is stacked with choices that feel genuinely unique. Some standouts? The Brown Butter Old Fashioned (served with a Spaceship Earth ice cube because of course it is) and the Banana Brûlée Highball, which tastes like dessert in the best way.
If you’re into mezcal, try the Electron — it’s earthy, spicy, and comes with pink peppercorns. The Exclusive Disney Select Bourbon Flight is $45, but it includes high-end pours like Blanton’s Gold and Stagg Private Barrel, which makes it one of the best-value high-end bourbon tastings we’ve seen at Disney.
Zero-proof cocktails also get their due here. A Walk Through the Garden might sound delicate, but it’s complex and layered with things like basil, fennel, and celery bitters. It’s clearly designed for people who don’t want a sugary substitute, and that’s a nice change.
The food menu leans toward small plates, with flavors that borrow from global cuisine but keep things upscale. The Jumbo Lump Crab Gâteau comes with caviar and a pickled mustard seed vinaigrette — it’s the kind of dish you eat slowly because it feels like an event.
There’s also a charcuterie board and a beautifully plated Truffled Ahi Tuna dish. Portions are on the small side, which tracks — it’s a lounge, not a dinner reservation. But everything we tried felt well-crafted and thoughtful.
So—should you go?
Here’s the deal: This isn’t the place to swing by on a whim, and it’s not going to be for everyone. If you’re already drinking around the world, these elevated cocktails are probably overkill. And if you’re in full-on family vacation mode, GEO-82 won’t work unless someone takes the kids for a bit.
But if you’re looking for a luxe escape from the crowds — somewhere to sip, snack, and relax in style—GEO-82 might be your new favorite hidden gem in EPCOT. Just know going in that you’re paying for the experience more than anything else. It’s giving VIP, not value.
We’ll be watching to see how hard it becomes to snag a reservation in the coming months, but for now? GEO-82 is that rare thing: a Disney lounge that feels like an actual find. It’s tucked away, it’s adults-only, and it’s absolutely worth experiencing at least once — if only to say you did.
