There are many perks to staying at a Disney World hotel — you’re close to the parks, you get complimentary transportation, and you can get Early Entry into every single one of the theme parks on every day of your trip.
However, if you choose to splurge and stay at a Disney World Deluxe Hotel, you get even MORE perks. One of those is Extended Evening Hours in select parks on certain days. As the year progresses, Magic Kingdom often hosts fewer Extended Evening Hours nights due to its holiday after-hours events, such as Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. We’ve got an update, though — Extended Evening Hours will return to this park in September!
What are Extended Evening Hours, you ask? Well, when the park closes to regular guests, guests at Disney World’s Deluxe Resorts, Deluxe Villas, and select other hotels (like the Swan, Dolphin, Swan Reserve, and Shades of Green) get to stay in the park and experience select open attractions for a few extra hours at the end of the day. It’s a great way to ride some of your favorite rides with significantly lower wait times and experience a nearly empty park.
If you were hoping to experience Extended Evening Hours in Magic Kingdom this year, we’re happy to report that they’ll return to the park on September 3rd! At this time, that’s the only date we can see so far for the fall season, but we could see additional availability pop up in the future. Check our page (which we keep regularly updated) and the Disney World calendar often — you never know when more dates may appear.
However, it’s important to note that this is also when Magic Kingdom will be in the midst of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, so many nights will be spent celebrating that event. If you want to know the days that will NOT have Extended Evening Hours in Magic Kingdom, you can take a look at the days in September and October that host Halloween parties:
- September: 2, 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 19, 21, 23, 25, 26, 28, 30
- October: 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 13, 14, 16, 17, 19, 23, 24, 26, 28, 30, 31
