REVIEW: Is This New Disney Drink The Snack Of The Summer?

They’re currently working on adding a new Monsters Inc. Land and the Muppets are taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster! While we’ve been watching new shows and keeping up with construction, we got a little thirsty so we went to grab the newest drink in the park.

In Hollywood Studios, you can find Backlot Express! It’s a large quick-service restaurant in the Echo Lake area of the park that serves up burgers, sandwiches, bowls, and more American-inspired eats.

It offers lots of seating indoors and outdoors, but for our latest visit, we were just grabbing a new drink from their summer menu! We tried the new Frozen Watermelon Vodka Lemonade for $16.50!

It’s made with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, watermelon, and Minute Maid lemonade! Not only is it perfectly pink, but the green sugar rim makes it perfect for summer-time Instagram pictures. It’s cute, but how does it taste?

To quote our reporter, “Y’all, it’s just so good!” It’s frozen and super refreshing in the heat. To no one’s surprise, it does melt pretty quickly. It reminded us of a watermelon sour gummy in the best possible way!

A closer look

The more it melted, the more the green sugar made it look like a watermelon in your cup! Was that intentional? Probably not. Was it cool? Yes! The drink wasn’t overly strong, and we didn’t really taste the vodka until the end of the drink.

We loved it!

It was a little sour from the lemonade, but the watermelon flavoring made it nice and sweet. It was a 10 out of 10 in our book, and we will definitely be ordering again! It’s the perfect summer drink! This is a great one to grab as you stroll between rides or as you’re taking that midday break. Heading to the parks soon? Let someone else take on the planning!
