A LOT is changing in Disney World, including in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

We’ve already seen parts of DinoLand U.S.A. closed down as Disney starts work on Pueblo Esperanza, a new Tropical Americas-themed land. We’ve also said goodbye to the “It’s Tough To Be A Bug” attraction in the Tree of Life…and we know that a new Zootopia-themed show will be taking its place. Well, we’ve now got a big update about the Zootopia show.
We previously saw construction walls go up to block the path that leads around the Tree of Life to the Asia section of the park closed off by construction walls. Well, now MORE construction walls have gone up around the Tree of Life. The former entrance to “It’s Tough To Be A Bug” is officially blocked off now.

It seems Disney is making even more progress on the Zootopia: Better Zoogether! attraction.

The new show will see Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, and other Zootopia characters in a brand new adventure that will explore biomes seen in the Zootopia animated movie.

Disney has revealed that Zootopia: Better Zoogether! will open in winter 2025, so we’ll be keeping an eye on construction progress, especially as we get closer to the official opening date. Zootopia 2 releases in theaters on November 26th, so it will be interesting to see how Disney manages the new ride opening with the release of the new movie.
In the meantime, you’ll probably be seeing construction walls around the Tree of Life for a while, as well as in DinoLand, U.S.A. Stay tuned to DFB for more.

Hi Bill. Disney announced that it would open in Winter 2025 so we are going with that until they give us word that the opening date has been pushed.
