We just got a huge progress update on the new Frozen Land coming to Disneyland Paris!

The Kingdom of Arendelle is set to open at Disneyland Paris in 2026. The new area will allow guests to step into the world they see in Disney’s iconic animated film, Frozen. Disney Imagineering just dropped a big update on the progress, and we’re here to share it with you!

A huge milestone was just hit for the Disney Imagineering team tasked with the Frozen project in Paris. They’ve officially added water to the Frozen Ever After ride — yes, for the first time in forever! This shows huge progress on the construction of the ride as it nears completion. However, there’s also something else that’s very special about the water in the attraction.

Frozen Ever After in Disney World

Disney Imagineers held a ceremony adding water from other Frozen-themed rides from Disney Parks around the world. They added water from EPCOT, Hong Kong Disneyland, and Tokyo DisneySea. They even added water from Norway, the country Frozen is based on.

This is a sweet tradition started by Walt Disney back in 1966, when he opened “it’s a small world.” Walt invited international representatives to pour water from rivers and oceans around the world into the attraction. That tradition was carried on by Imagineers for the Kingdom of Arendelle.

Frozen Ever After at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort

Imagineers noted that there is still lots of work to be done on the attraction, but they’re excited to show what they’ve put together for guests to experience starting in 2026. The Frozen Ever After ride is not unique to Disneyland Paris, as it is also featured in EPCOT and Hong Kong Disneyland.

Disneyland Paris will introduce a completely new and reimagined park in 2026 called Disney Adventure World. It’s going to include so many fun lands and attractions that have never been seen before in a Disney Park! It will include a brand-new ride that will be inspired by Disney Pixar’s UP,  a Tangled Spin ride, and Disney’s first-ever ride themed after The Lion King.
