A brand new nighttime parade is coming to Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom on July 20th, 2025.
Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away will feature SO many characters from Walt Disney Animation Studios and Disney Pixar films, and some will be making their nighttime parade debut as well. Disney just released the showtimes for this new parade — and we also learned that the parade route is CHANGING.
Disney Starlight will be “brought to life by the magic of the Blue Fairy” from the Disney animated classic, Pinocchio, as the parade begins — but don’t expect that to happen in Frontierland! Typically, Magic Kingdom parades begin in Frontierland and end right at the front of the park — on Main Street, U.S.A. But Disney is doing things a little differently with Starlight!
Instead of starting in Frontierland and ending on Main Street, Starlight will do the opposite! It will begin on Main Street, U.S.A., and will end in Frontierland — which is not the normal parade route for Magic Kingdom.
Disney shared that this change was “to allow for better guest flow at the end of the night.” The Starlight parade will take place twice nightly, at 9 PM and 10 PM, which should help alleviate the backup that can occur when people try to leave the park at the end of the night.
As it begins, Disney Starlight will be “brought to life by the magic of the Blue Fairy” from the Disney animated classic, Pinocchio. In fact, the star on the Blue Fairy’s wand will be the “first star you’ll see tonight,” and viewers will be invited to wish upon that very star to kick off the parade.
Parade viewers will see Disney characters from Walt Disney Animation Studios films such as Encanto, Frozen, and Peter Pan. (You’ll see Wendy, too!)
Isabela will swing on vines on the Encanto float, just like she does in the beloved film, and Disney also confirmed that a Moana float will be part of the parade, along with Coco and Wish floats! We can’t wait to check out this new parade, so keep an eye out for our FULL coverage of Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away.
We’ll be on the lookout for any additional updates Disney shares about the new Starlight parade. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news!

Finally wonderful news! Its about time Disney has brought back the night parades and twice a night – like old times. This will give guests the opportunity to go on rides with lower lines during one of the parades, and still be able to see the parade at the other time. Also, changing the route of the parade to lessen the crowds leaving – great idea. Finally an idea that pleases all age groups.
If anyone can go back and remember spectromagic and even Main Street Electrical Parade at the Magic Kingdom, they always started from Main Street USA and ended in frontierland.
9pm & 11pm Parade times. Does that mean no fireworks?
