JUST ANNOUNCED: We Know When You Can Watch Disney's 'Thunderbolts*' Movie at Home

We just got an official date! Now, we know when you will be able to watch the latest Marvel movie at home! Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts* will be hitting digital AND Blu-ray in less than a month — let’s take a look at the details.

Marvel’s latest theatrical release, Thunderbolts*, came out on May 2nd, 2025. The movie follows a group of anti-heroes who deal with broken pasts, regrets, and loneliness. They are faced with the challenge of overcoming their darkness and coming together to be something more.

The movie was very different from other Marvel movies, tackling heavier and darker issues. Fans were treated to an epic story as they watched Yelena Belova, John Walker, Ghost, Red Guardian, Bucky, and Bob become the *New Avengers — which Marvel marketed a couple of days after its release! Thunderbolts* was praised well by both critics and fans, receiving an 88% Rotten Tomatoes score and a 93% Audience score.

However, despite the love from fans of the movie, the film underperformed at the box office. It made $371 million globally, becoming one of the lowest-grossing MCU movies of all time, and losing millions of dollars per Variety.

If you haven’t had the chance to see it yet, or you’re dying to watch it again, mark these dates down! You’ll be able to watch the movie from the comfort of your own home as Thunderbolts* will release digitally on July 1st, according to Rolling Stone. The platforms that will be getting the movie include Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home. There is still no word on when the movie will arrive on Disney+, but fans will be able to rent or buy it starting July 1st.

If you’re a collector, you’re going to love this! The movie will also be released physically with 4k UHD, Blu-Ray, and DVD options. Marvel is also releasing collectible versions of the Blu-ray, including an amazing-looking SteelBook version that features custom artwork. On top of that, a Walmart-exclusive Blu-ray version features pop-up artwork. This is a great collectible items for Marvel fans!

The 4K Ultra HD digital and physical release will feature Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. It will also include bonus features such as deleted scenes, a gag reel, behind-the-scenes featurettes, and even commentary by director Jake Schreier.
