There’s nothing we love more than dining in Disney.

Port Orleans French Quarter
From the classic snacks to the ones to skip, there are so many to choose from in Disney World. We love trying every snack again and again to make sure they’re worth our time and money. So, how does this elusive Disney snack hold up? We’re finding out today!
There are so many incredible Disney snacks to try, but they aren’t all created equally. We’re constantly on the hunt for those hidden gems that are worth going out of your way for, and there might just be one over at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter!

Port Orleans French Quarter
Before you guess it, no, it isn’t the famous Mickey Beignets. Those are a guaranteed hidden gem that we never have to question! We already have our tried and true trust in them. No, this time we’re searching for something over at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory.

Let’s go to Sassagoula!
We’re here to test out one of the most elusive Disney treats that has been around for a while! Why is it so hard to find? Well, it’s not there every day. We’re talking about the Creamy Pecan Praline that you can grab for $5.49.

The Pecan Praline!
This is a Mickey-shaped treat that is fudge-like, pecan-filled candy. Can you say, YUM? If these seem familiar, it’s because they were previously made in-house at French Quarter; however, they’re now only made at Port Orleans – Riverside. This cookie honestly shocked us!

The back of the cookie!
Our reporter, who tried it, doesn’t love pecans, but this was a huge hit. It’s texturally like a cookie, and it’s super sweet and sugary. It’s filled to the brim with pecans; however, the texture is soft and chewy. It reminded us of biting into brown sugar in the best way possible.

The inside!
For the price, you actually get two in a bag, which was a pleasant surprise considering how Disney tends to price things. These aren’t always available because they can — and will — sell out. To get these pecan snacks, they are now delivered from Riverside, so if you’re really against waiting, head over to French Quarter’s sister resort.

While we get grabbing the cookies ASAP, we don’t think it’s necessary. Wait a bit, have a beignet, and they might be ready for you after the fact. This Disney treat still really holds up, and it being Mickey-shaped makes it even better. Read more about this quick service below!

Never had them, but adding them as a hopeful must-do for our next POR stay. I wonder how many of the magical touches and treats around WDW depend on one person – if there is one person who knows how to do something (like make these beauties), or is willing to do something, or if it’s just a tradition that it’s ‘theirs.’ Like that other POR wonder, Yehaa Bob. Wait… 😂
