Disney just dropped some exciting news about the new Tropical Americas — Pueblo Esperanza land coming to Animal Kingdom in a few years!
This is the new area of the park that’s replacing DinoLand U.S.A., so while we’re certainly sad to see such an iconic part of the park go, we’re also looking forward to what’s new. We now know that The Boneyard will be closing on September 2nd, 2025 and Disney assured us that a new play area will be coming to Pueblo Esperanza. However, there is another smaller detail of this land that nobody is talking about enough– the new dining location coming to Pueblo Esperanza sounds like it’s going to be MASSIVE.
Disney previously revealed some major news about the new dining location coming to Pueblo Esperanza, saying, “Not only will the land include a hacienda — which will be one of the largest quick-service restaurants at Disney World Resort — but also two signature attractions for Indiana Jones and Encanto.”
This leads us to believe that Restaurantosaurus, the current quick service location in DinoLand U.S.A., could be expanded during its transformation, and may even take over the area where Trilo-Bites currently sits. Now, nothing confirms that for sure, but when we look at concept art closely, we know that the WHOLE area that currently shows the hacienda is likely how big it will actually be.
Either way, we’ll be keeping an eye out for more details about this exciting new restaurant.

We will miss Restaurantosaurus. It’s so cute with so much to see. We discovered it too late. We usually opt for table service when we visit AK, and in most of the parks. They don’t build many locations anymore with the details and imagination you see in Restaurantosaurus. I also love chili dogs, and I think it’s unlikely that a Tropical Americas themed restaurant is likely to serve them. But it’s good that the restaurant will be large, and hopefully will provide lots of indoor seating like Restauranosauarus does.
